The apartment was super convenient to our needs, clean, and close to the Metro, shops and restaurants. Those were the best qualities of the unit.
This place was managed by a property rental company, not an individual, so it lacked character. Decent furnishings, very minimal kitchen dishes/cookware, no kitchen towels, scratchy sheets. Would have been nice to have more than 1.5 rolls of toilet paper and a tablespoon of dish soap provided for a week's stay.
Walls were paper thin, we could hear everything going on in our neighbor's apartment, people partying until all hours. No apparent recycling in the building; we had to take our bottles and cans across the street to the public receptacle.
Called for a late check out a day ahead since our flight was leaving early evening, but didn't get a call back or an email to confirm. Turns out we were granted a late check out but didn't hear about it until a rep from the company came in to the apartment at noon to show someone the furniture to sell. We were the last renters for the unit. No big deal, we left our stuff to go have lunch, it starts pouring rain outside and when we get back to grab our stuff and head to the Metro, the rep had taken my umbrella. Not cool.
Nice block, great location. Friendly concerierge. Well appointed common amenities. Apartment adequate and well resourced but let down by damaged blinds which let in the light. We did not get offered the apartment in the listing but that was not a problem as it looked to be almost the same. All City Corporate Housing responsive to emails. Would recommend and might stay again.
Fabulous location in nice building with concierge. The apartment itself is outfitted cheaply. The towels are frayed and thin, the mattress is appallingly bad, there are better pots and utensils at Walmart. There is no coffee maker or even salt and pepper. There is a toaster but no toaster over. Don't expect to cook anything in the kitchen at all. We had 2 regular rolls of toilet paper that disintegrated when wet. For 2 ladies spending 4 days that wasn't going to work so we bought toilet paper.
second stay in this building. Very convenient, clean and great location. Will use again!
Probably the most ideal location you could be for a trip to explore DC. Walking distance to Georgetown, White House, Monuments, Dupont Circle, Metro. Great studio apartment in a large building. Modern/new. All necessities within a block or two. Everything went smooth on my nearly week long stay and the one issue I had...Andy took care of it quickly and professionally and to my satisfaction. Staying here is a no brainer and Andy is a true professional.
Excelente localização e excelente posição solar do apartamento. Ótimo serviço de portaria e áreas comuns como academia lavanderia e gym.
The absolute best location for visiting d.c. and seeing the sights from the comfort of your comfortable home with concierge, computer center, lounge, gym, etc.
Easy walk to capital, Smithsonian, convention center.
We will definitely return.
Really enjoyed our stay here. The concierge is super friendly & the apt was nice & safe. The host is on top of things & very responsive. Thanks!
Second positive experience staying at the Avalon in Chinatown on business travel. Very convenient location (2 blocks from Chinatown metro/ red and green lines), plenty of nearby (easy walking distance) restaurants and grocery stores, etc. Apartment itself is clean, modern, corporate-style apartment with washer and dryer in the unit, and a reasonably-equipped fitness center in the building. Would definitely stay again! Also, very easy to communicate with Andy, who was very accommodating when I needed a last-minute one-week extension.
