I'm a web developer, cat lover, native New Yorker and I love making things.
The location of this one bedroom apartment is right on the edge of downtown Portland. It is convenient to all public transportation and walking. Parking a car is an issue. The area is in transition, but safe. The apartment is average, but comfortable enough. I did clean it up a bit. It is a bit noisy from the public transportation and street traffic. There wasn't any cable TV or WiFi. I did get Netflix added for my stay. I would recommend this for a reasonable place to stay in Portland. No frills; just convenience of location.
Chloe's apartment is conveniently located in downtown Portland. It was very easy for us to walk to or take the transit to all of the sites we visited. Chloe was very quick to answer all of the questions we had prior to our trip.
The place itself is a good size one bedroom plus den in an older apartment building with security. Chloe provided clean towels and sheets. Our only concern was that the carpet looked as though it had not been thoroughly cleaned in a long time.
Chloe was delightful to work with - very communicative over email and even outfitted us with a digital list of cool places to eat and drink in the area. Her apartment was simple, had a clean kitchen, large bathroom, and incredible location. The reason for the four-out-of-five stars is the carpet could use a deep clean, the apartment was a tad on the noisy side (but really that was our fault b/c we left the windows open for ventilation), and as I said, the place was super simple. We felt safe, the location was perfect, and there was no evidence of cat hair.
Awesome apartment and location! It's about a 10 minute walk from the train station, which was very convenient. It's within walking distance of most of the 'touristy' things we wanted to check off our list as well. All in all, very cozy..a bit noisy at night, but I would definitely stay here again!
Apartment was exactly as described and really could not be in a better location. Easy check in/check out. Would definitely stay there again while in Portland.
Chloe's apartment was the perfect location. Walking distance from everything! She is very close to the waterfront. Her building is very secure and I felt very safe staying in her apartment. Having a balcony was really nice. Though we didn't use the transit system that is directly outside her building, public transit is easily accessible. We walked around for the most part.
Others have mentioned the noise, but she provides earplugs for those who are light sleepers. We didn't need the earplugs and didn't mind the city noise from below - the noise never bothered us. Her AC is a bit loud, but we only used it two nights and opened the windows since it was cool when we stayed. Her Apple TV is great if you have any other Apple products - we were able to hook the iPad to her TV to watch shows... she already has Netflix which is great!
Overall, a pleasant stay!
Amazing location, beautiful space, and quick / easy experience! I would recommend Chloe's space to anyone interested in an incredible walk-about-portland experience, and look forward to booking another vacation wit her again!
Great place and location. Quick walk to downtown. Easy train ride to the convention center. The neighborhood is a bit noisy, which didn't bother me. But Chloe left ear plugs for people who might need them.
Great location - right in the heart of things.
Perfect place to stay if you want to be downtown. Close to the Ace, Stumptown, Powells, good food and great bars. The space itself is clean and simple. The bed was extremely comfy and perfect to crash into at the end of a long day. Highly recommend this place.
Chloe was a great guest! Although she and I both had different schedules and I didn't get to see her she was easy to correspond with and left my place nice and neat.
Chloe was a great guest!
Friendly, mature, easy going. Excellent communication leading up to the stay, respected the house rules during her visit, and left the place spotless.
What more could you ask for?
Highly recommended to any AirBnb people out there!
