Going to give this a try and host some friendly people in my apartment who are visiting NY.
Andres was friendly and gave good advice on places to eat & drink in the neighborhood. The apartment is definitely a NYC apartment (that is to say, not a lot of extra space), but well laid out. I stayed with a friend, and rotated sleeping on the bed and the pull-out single. Neither was particularly comfortable. However, there's minimal need to sleep when you're in the city, so think of it as a good incentive to stay out late and get the day started early. Close to the C, 'up-and-coming' neighborhood, and the price is right.
After being stuck in NY due to Hurricane Sandy, Andres' place was easy to book and a great place to stay. No hassle, simple and easy.
We enjoyed their visit very much. It's neat when your guest arrives by plane, toting his very special bicycle that he used to compete in a triathlon!!!! Our space was left perfectly neat. We would welcome them back anytime!
