The place is very nice and quiet. The cabañas are big enough but maybe the matresses a bit too hard for my back! The people working there, are friendly and give you a warm welcome.
The cabanas were wonderful and the grounds were very inviting. There's a restaurant and a number of other cabanas close by with families and other couples. The pool with a waterfall was really great and the whole staff set a great party atmosphere. Our cabana had a gorgeous newly renovated bathroom, and though it was very small, it was very clean and cozy.
The location is a bit....weird. It's a good way off of a main road (CR Highway 1 just north of Liberia) and in order to get back to the location, you go past what looks like a military training facility and a couple of factories. There are signs directing you which way to turn, but it's not at all clear until you turn onto the property that you're in a place where there might be a B&B. There is a high wall and big gate surrounding the grounds which helps to make it feel more like a resort than the actually surroundings suggest.
The experience with the staff was not as good. We arrived a little later than expected (about 6:30pm) and it took a good while for anyone to come into the office. There was no record of our reservation and we were eventually directed to our room (which, again, was great). The gentleman who checked us in suggested he would return with more information, but never did. We were told upon check-in that dinner would be served at the restaurant until 10pm, but upon inquiring (after sitting at a table for 15 minutes with no attention) about a meal at 7:45, we were told that dinner was no longer available.
We were served a great breakfast by the pool in the morning, but in general, we got the feeling that we were either not noticed or not welcome for much of our stay. Admittedly, language difficulties may have contributed to this as our Spanish is not good, but there didn't seem to be great effort to be accommodating or interest in our being there.
Perhaps we caught the staff at an awkward moment, but while the room and the pool and the breakfast were great, the vibe from the staff was definitely not great.
Thank you, we glad to know that you liked our installations. We regret very much for your not so good experience with our staff.
Thanks for your comment, that way we can improve!!

Beautiful cabin--a little outside of town (getting there by car would be ideal--buses can be a bit difficult to manoeuvre depending on the time of day). A bit more outside noise than we anticipated. Close to a gorgeous river--but a bit out of the way from anything else. Perfect for a nice rest right after getting into the Liberia airport :)
Thank you very much!

Basic clean and safe place to overnight. Cabins rustic but comfortable. Easy to get to from the Liberia airport by rental car. Can purchase dinner so no need to go back to Liberia after checkIng in. Breakfast included. Staff friendly but English is so-so unless the owner is present.
the room was pretty big and very clean and tidy. the only thing we didnt like there was the music in the restaurant, it was way too loud and a bit disturbing even inside when you stay inside your room...
The cabin was very simple, but in fact, we had everything we needed. Everything was nice and clean and spacious, we had airco, a good bathroom, so no complaints.
Hosts and staff were friendly and helpful.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this if you want to visit the area.
Thank you very much!!!
Dagoberto was very accommodating and friendly. Even though we only stayed with him for one night he told us to call him if we needed anything for the rest of our honeymoon in Costa Rica. Breakfast was a huge plate of fresh fruit, which was included in the price of the cabin. The only drawback was being woken up at 4am by a dump truck. We hadn't noticed when we arrived because it was dark, but the B&B is behind what appears to be a construction company. However, the truck in the early morning was the only noise we heard. We wished we had planned on staying longer.
