Rachel was a good hostess, despite a family emergency that took her out of town before our arrival. She kept in touch by phone, gave us excellent restaurant recommendations, and wanted to be sure we were comfortable in her apartment. We were --we liked the location, the space, and the use of a kitchenette. We would gladly stay there again.
The host canceled my reservation 5 days before arrival.
Good location, close to Central Park and Museum of Natural History. The apt. was very dirty. There was hair balls everywhere. It needed a good vacuuming at the very least. The bathroom needed a good scrubbing, it had mold on the shower curtains and walls, hair sticking to the walls,it was filthy. It was as if someone was kicked out of the apt. shortly before we arrived with piles of clothes and shoes on the floor. I would not recommend anyone to use this apt. until it is completely cleaned up, nor would I recommend Rachel as a host.
If we had a daughter we would want her to be like Rachel. She was extrordinarily kind, adorable, and obviously intelligent! She took the time to offer sage and interesting advice for one so young. The apartment was fine; comfortable and perfect location. Rachel was beyond accomodating and was waiting for us as we arrived, we felt very connected to her and we send her thanks and our very best. jan and rob thompson
The accommodations exceeded my expectations. Rachel was very helpful and friendly. Lots of nearby restaurants and convenient transportation. The neighborhood is excellent and I hope to visit again soon.
The host canceled my reservation 4 days before arrival. Was supposedly due to water damage in apartment. Also struggled a little to correspond during whole process, although she also had reasons for that. Just wasn't a very pleasant process overall, especially having to find new accommodation 2 days prior to our departure.
My friend and I had a very nice stay at this cozy studio apartment. It's quiet and in a great neighborhood. We felt safe even when coming back late at night. All the basics are provided for including tv and linens, and the sleeping arrangements work out well. My friend took the bed and I slept on the couch - it's a little firm, but I got used to it and slept very well.
The air conditioner is really handy and I'm glad it was in the unit. And yes, the bathroom is a little small, but that's normal for New York.
Rachael was a kind host and provided suggestions for nearby restaurants, drug stores, and food.
All in all, great value for a great location! We're glad we had a chance to stay here!
Perfect location and price. Walking distance to both parks, many restaurants, and groceries. The apartment, like the neighborhood, has anything you may need, and is ideal for a busy weekend in the city. Rachel was an exellent host; she is very friendly and helpful.
Very nice area in the upper Westside. Check in and check out was very easy & Rachel was very accessible and nice. The apartment is an older basement apartment and the bathroom is tiny, but it is a good deal for NY and the area and convenience to the park & subway is good.
