Hello! I work in the non-profit sector for a cultural foundation in Providence, RI. I was lured to PVD in 2001 because of the city's rich history, architecture, and culture – and have called it my home ever since.
I have been active on various community projects, including founding the RI Human Rights Film Festival, producing a radio show on "underappreciated days that changed America", and organizing radical book fairs. In my spare time, I enjoy making (and then neglecting) garden sanctuaries, bike rides, collecting African literature, live music, whipping up things in the kitchen from various morsels and plugging away at the continuous projects that arise for a historic homeowner. Oh yeah, I could walk and hike forever. Throw in a tasty cocktail and that's me in a nutshell.
I am respectful, clean and independent. I get along well with others, but also don't mind doing my own thing. My favorite way to explore a new location is by bike. I also love visiting all the cultural/heritage centers and museums I can find. I brake for historic markers, and will always choose the scenic route.
I am planning to take a sabbatical Jan-Feb 2014 and will be traveling those months making my way from New England to New Zealand.
