Producing Director @ Fusebox Festival.
Natalie's hospitality was wonderful, and the space & location worked out great! As noted in another review you probably want to have a car, but it's pretty quick and easy to get around to a large portion of Austin. Downtown and a lot of other attractions are within reasonable biking distance. Overall fantastic experience--would not hesitate to stay with Natalie again if I'm back in the area!
Great house, very spacious. One word of advice - DO rent a car if you stay here, it is hard to get cabs in this area and it is a bit too far to walk anywhere but Barton Springs.
Otherwise this was the perfect home away from home.
The Fusebox artists were fine. No major problems.
The two artists that Natalie booked the home for were amazing guests. They left the house in tip-top shape and were very respectful to the home. They were very easy to communicate with. Natalie was the best and very easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend Natalie and her guests to anyone.
I've known Natalie on a personal & professional level for years and I think she is amazing! Always wearing a smile, she is warm & thoughtful and immediately knows how to make someone feel at home in her home. I have spent one on one time there with her and her dog, Frank, as well as attended parties & BBQ's. Her place is perfect for either a relaxing night in or a shindig of your choosing. It is spacious, artsy and has a great energy about it. And it is close to everything that is cool in Austin. It's within walking distance to Austin staples like Barton Springs & Shady Grove, and downtown and Soco are both only a bike ride away. I feel very comfortable saying that you will enjoy your stay here, with the best hostess in town!
If Natalie weren't so good at so many other things, you'd think she'd been born just to be an AirBnB host. Friendly, fun, down-to-earth, and totally conscientious all at the same time. I've known Nat for years and have spent a lot of time at this fantastic house. I feel like I always breathe easier and relax a little as soon as I walk in the door. It's set up for comfort and ease. Also a huge draw: It's just up the hill from Barton Springs Pool and Zilker Park, and yet the street is quiet and peaceful. You kind of couldn't have a better setup in Austin - fantastic place, fantastic host. You'll love it.
Natalie's house is the best get away. Salvage Vanguard Theater used Natalies place to house a guest artist from New York and it was a great choice. Its very conveniently located. Walking distance from Barton Springs Pool and a short bike ride or bus ride to downtown and the heart of Austin. The house is spacious and Natalie is a gracious host. We will definitely use Natalie's place again!
As a former Austinite that needed last-minute housing for a film shoot in that lovely city, I can fully recommend using Natalie's spot as a very comfortable, convenient, and lovely accommodation for travelers. A screened in back porch provides quiet respite, washer and dryer ensures that you're not scraping for clothes that've not been marred by BBQ sauce or breakfast taco drippings, and a location that is drooled over (walk to Barton Springs! walk to South Lamar! hop a bus to every where else!) makes your stay at Natalie's all you could ask for and more. On top of that, you have a lovely host who easily flexes between incredibly helpful tour guide and will-give-you-space-and-quiet when needed. Big thumbs up for Natalie and her beautiful home.
Natalie and I have been friends for years. We've worked together, traveled together, and are currently trying to conquer the world together! I now live on the other side of her duplex and I can attest to our above average and totally awesome neighborhood. Super convenient to down town, but in a nice neighborhood to unwind from a long day of festivities. I've spent some time at Natalie's and she always makes it feel like a home away from home. She is a great hostess - helpful and thoughtful. You can't go wrong by staying here!
