I've lived in the east village since 1995 and I love it!

My friend and I stayed in Andrew's apartment for 9 days. The apartment was great - location, price (given the price of hotels in the area), clean (spotless!), comfortable bed, enough towels, neat kitchen, quiet - perfect! Andrew was great host - responded immediately, checked out periodically (during our stay - but never intrusive) and he let us stay as long as we needed (late check out). Not to mention supplies - sugar, coffee, salt! He was perfect host in every way and wouldn't hesitate for a second to stay at his place next time. It felt like home! For those who like East Village - this is the place to stay.
I was having trouble finding a hotel room that weren't outrageously expensive in the East Village area. Using Airbnb and booking Andrew's place was such a great deal. Not only was staying at his apartment cheaper, but it was so much nicer and more fun. The location was perfect (lots of great restaurants), the apartment was beautiful, the bed was incredibly comfortable, all the accommodations were just what we needed and then some (e.g., air conditioner that kept the place cool, neat kitchen we used to stay in and cook, etc.), and Andrew was friendly and helpful. It was my first Airbnb experience and such a positive one. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Andrew was a great host - I rented the apartment for my mom while she was in town for a week. He checked in periodically to see how she was doing, and supplied everything that she needed. The apartment is spacious, very clean and really quiet for NYC! She had a very comfortable stay in a perfect downtown location.
Fabulous!!! The apartment was spotless, spacious and very comfortable - and the neighborhood is a real taste of the East Village. We plan to go back; Andrew is a fine host!
Andrew's apartment is very cosy and confortable. A nice vintage look and feel with a big living room and sleeping room (in NY standards). Andrew has definitely taken some time in looking after details. The flat is near the famous Bowery Hotel (great cocktail bar by the way) and only 5-10 minutes walk from Soho. Andrew has been super reactive (My trip was booked in emergency mode and the airport reservation made from Paris airport) and nice. Don't hesitate to rent this flat... a great deal especially comparing the hotels prices in NY.
This is a lovely apartment! Andrew's a great host... he actually took our booking only the day before we arrived, since our other accommodation had fallen through. He made sure my Mum & I were comfortable here and pointed out a few nice spots around town. I loved this neighbourhood... quiet and chill, but with lots of great shops & cafes! A nice break from the craziness of Time Square, where we'd stayed before this. The actual apartment is neat and comfy... it feels like home.
Andrew is a mindful host--he replied promptly to all communications, was flexible with our check-in time, and provided a welcoming experience all around.
The apartment is in a great neighborhood, clean, quiet, comfortable and feels safe. It's everything you want to come back to after a day/eve in the City.
Thank you Andrew, we really enjoyed our stay.
Andrews apt is lovely. Looks exactly like the photos. Very clean, no clutter - well suited to have visitors stay. If you prefer downtown (even if you dont really know downtown) this is a great location. Anything you could possibly need or want is close by. The train is 4 blks away. Good coffee places close by - fantastic restaurants. Even a healthy grocery right across the street. Andrew was a perfect host, made sure I knew what I needed to know about the apt and even checked in during my stay. He was never intrusive. His communication before, during, and after was fast and friendly. I highly recommend this apt and host - I will stay here again when available.
A perfect stay. Easy and efficient "check in". Really clean and comfortable apartment. Great decor and it had all the amenities I needed - elevator, wifi, even a welcome gift and some basic toiletries that I had forgotten. I hadn't thought to ask about a hairdryer. There wasn't one but there is a Duane Reade around the corner and $15 later I had one. I plan/hope to stay at Andrew's again next time I'm back in the US.
Great, quiet, safe, apartment in one of the best, most walkable areas of NYC. Andrew was super easy to work with. Already planning the next visit!
I hope to get to meet Andrew. He seems an awfully nice fellow. His plans changed last minute and we didn't have a chance.
Andrew was simply perfect. Beyond recomend him!!!!!!! i hope he comes back
