It was a quiet, peaceful getaway. Keith showed us around the house and how everything worked in the house. He has the house warm and the fire on for us when we got there. There was also fresh scones made when we arrived. They went down well with the kids. The house had everything from cups to saucepans etc.
We had a great time at Keith and Justine's house. Keith met us and went through all the workings of the house. There was great space for us and Milo - the dog. Justine had left lovely apple tarts which went down a treat! And there were supplies - coffee, tea, milk, salt, pepper etc which was a nice touch. Electricity is on a meter but approx. 2euro a day. You need 2euro coins for this. Keith left us briquettes and wood for the fire/stove which warmed the room and kitchen really well. The house is approx. 4km from Castlegregory which has a nice pub and good supermarket. Good spot for exploring Dingle, Connor Pass, Inch Beach and the Blasket Islands. On the way home we went to Muckross House which is gorgeous and well worth a visit. And the National Park and we were lucky with beautiful weather. Also, went to the AquaDome in Tralee on Sunday because it was very wet. We had a good time although there weren't enough slides for our 10 year old boy!! We would've needed a week to do the ring of Kerry and see all the sights! Unfortunately, only had 3 nights but had a lovely time. Justine and Keith were really friendly and informative on the area.
Keith is an excellent host. The house was clean, warm, spacious and well equipped. This is the best surf cottage I have stayed in.
Booked for a group of friends weekend away. Comfortably sleeps 8. Nice spacious house. About 5 minutes from Castlegregory so location is fine. Keith met me at the house. Friendly and informative. Will definitely book again.
Keith was a very warm and welcoming host, and was great at corresponding whenever I had questions/updates! This cottage is in a beautiful and quiet setting. It was a great reprieve from room-stays, as there is something to having an entire house to yourselves. It suited four of us perfectly! Keith was quick to greet us out front and show us the place. His lovely wife made us some fantastic mini-apple pies that we all enjoyed immensely! The location is prime for exploring County Kerry. I would definitely recommend staying at Keith's Brook Cottage! =)
Keith was very friendly and helpful. The house is in a perfect location and the drive to dingle is simply nothing short of amazing.
The house has everything you need and in a really nice quiet area.
Keith & Jeanine made us very welcome and the house was perfect for our needs, roomy and comfortable with all that we needed for a great time in Kerry. Great view from the house and easy to find and 5min drive into Castle Gregory for pubs and restaurants . A great place to relax and a great base for visiting the south west. July 2015
Very very nice. We enjoyed our stay in Castle Gregory, Keith greeted us and showed us around the property which was clean, spacious and comfortable. Looking forward to coming back!
Even though we had exact coordinates we managed to miss the house and asked the neighbours for direction. And that was the only "problematic" thing here, if you can call that a problem.
Hose is wider and bigger than you can imagine, full of light. Even though it was the first day of summer we needed to turn on the heating, and it warmed up a place quite quickly.
Spacious, clean, on a great location. Is a great spot for Dingle and Kerry exploration.
Keith himself is great guy, very pleasant and welcoming!
