Geraldine herself is a gracious host. She was cordial, well perceived, and extremely nice. The flat itself is reasonable in size and the kitchen is stellar. However, we encountered a few issues during our stay.
•Upon arrival we were informed that the apartment had been put on the market and that a realtor would be making frequent visits with prospects to the apartment. Visits took between 15 minutes to an hour and cost us a lot of privacy and security. (When we weren’t home the realtor had a set of keys and was given permission by the host to visit the apartment even when were weren’t there)
*Also upon arrival we were informed that the fridge wasn’t in proper working condition. We had trouble keeping our food fresh. It took 1 1/2 weeks for it to be fixed.
•Over time our bathroom sink began to leak to the point where it became unusable. (Took at most 2 days to be fixed)
•During our last week, our wifi was disconnected. We had no way of contacting our families or accessing the internet.
•Lastly the neighborhood where Geraldine’s apartment rests can be somewhat tough. People are out late, shouting during the middle of the night, and a general uneasy feeling compared to where we are staying now.
I would recommend this place, just make sure you are comfortable with the area you are living in and ask lots of questions before you book to make sure everything is in working order. Other than that the apartment is reasonable in size and Geraldine is a kind host.
Positives about our stay. There is a lovely boulongerie on the corner of rue saffroy, where you can get fresh bread daily. There are numerous cafe’s, fromageries, boucheries, etc near guy moquet. Plenty of supermarkets in the neighborhood as well as small fruit and legume shops. The metro is very close by in two different locations. Would recommend taking a velib and using that instead of the metro, you get a workout in and still manage to make it to your destination for a fraction of the price.
We had a great time in Paris and we absolutely loved staying in Geraldine's apartment. It was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. Geraldine was super friendly and really helpful! Her flat is easily accessible by two different Metro stops and there are fantastic bakeries and cafes all around. It's also really close to a Carefour, which was really helpful. We had a great stay and we would definitely want to stay there again if we were to go back to Paris!
Le sejour n'était pas mal, ms l'hôte ne répondait presque jamais au téléphone... C'était un peu compliqué pour récupérer les clés. Mise à a part cela, séjour agréable...
The place is really nice. I fully recommend it!
Appartement très agréable et très bien équipé, dans une rue calme. Nous avons également apprécié les conseils de notre hôte qui nous ont permis de découvrir la cuisine éthiopienne... expérience assurée pour toute la famille!
we enjoyed our stay very much the apartment was of a very high standard ,comfortable warm very clean.Geraldine was very helpful and friendly and we were given full use of all the amenities in the (website hidden) husband enjoyed having a back massage every morning as we were invited to take full use of the massage chair.
We can fully recomend having an apartment to stay in rather than a hotel it was like home from home.
