The property is in a great location 20 seconds from 34 St. Herald Sq. subway station and within walking distance of many top places worth a visit.
The apartment is basic however that was all we needed for our visit. Dougie provided all the essentials too and was helpful throughout.
Very comfortable and quiet studio in a pretty good location(Empire State Building). Douglas is an excellent person and answered our e-mails promptly. We recommend his studio for those who want to stay in a nice apartment in the Big Apple.

Great apartment, awesome location. Doug is a fantastic host - very accommodating and communicative. The apartment is very convenient to the subway and it's also easy to snag a cab right out front if necessary. Steps from Koreatown and other great eats.
Great location, literally a few steps from the Empire State Building, Macys, and many other shops!
It was my first Airbnb experience and I am glad I chose Doug's place, I would definitely recommend it, he is a great host.
I've been in New York with a friend for 8 days, and the apartment is really great, very tidy and confortable. The check-in is very fast and easy, you feel safe when get there! It is perfectly located, so easy to go to anywhere on foot and by subway.
Douglas always answers messages so quickly and confirms that everything is ok for you. He is a great host, totally recommended!!
After reading multiple reviews from people on their first airbnb experience, we decided to give Doug's place a try. Everything was as described and Doug kept in constant communication with us. The location of the apartment is prime, right in the middle of everything and near multiple subway lines. Penn Station is a block away. Macy's is across the street. Empire State is next door.
What made our trip unforgettable was Hurricane Sandy. Inside the apartment, we were pretty well insulated from the storm. We were also fortunate to not lose power. Doug checked up on us before and after the storm to make sure we were ok.
Lastly, the apartment is very private. It really felt like we had our own place in NYC. If you're like us and wondering whether to try airbnb, don't hesitate to give Doug's place a try.
I've stayed there for eight days with a friend and this is a great appartement!
Really liked the doormen/desk at the complex entrance, makes you feel welcome and secure. They also manage the key so no hussle to arrange a meeting with Doug, excellent.
Step out and walk directly into the subway which takes you everywhere. Or walk to Times Square or even Central Park, I did it a few times because of the nice weather. Oh and you are really in the same block as the Empirestate building, for those who wonder. Shops and food are literally right in front of you. For groceries the Duane Reade is across the street and the KMart is only 2 blocks away. The KMart is huge and the only place nearby that sells towels for a decent price. Transportation from Newark Airport is sweet since the train stops at Grand Central Station which makes the total travel time less then 45min.
Inside the appartment its a bit dark and thats no complaint as I was aware of it from other reviews. It not a big deal just check the weather report before you go outside. It has everything you need like a kitchen, a real bath, internet and an extra couch/bed.
Douglas is very responsive and makes sure all your questions get answered.
If you want to be in the center of New York for a good price this is the place!
Studio muito bem localizado, fácil e rápido acesso à Time Square. O Douglas sempre respondeu rapidamente meus emails. A experiência foi incrível. Certamente eu ficaria hospedado novamente.
Studio very well located, easy and fast access to Time Square. Metro multiline block in the 4 corners of the building, allows easy and quick shift. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Many shopping stores nearby. Studio very comfortable for two people (01 double bed and a sofa bed). Comfortable bathroom. The Douglas always answered my emails quickly. The experience was amazing. Certainly I would stay again.
The apartament was like in the photos. The host left the keys at the front desk of the building for us. We didn't have any problem there. The place was near everything. Near Macy's. Near the subway, jus a few steps. In the same block of Empire State building.
The apartment was tide and the kitchen is completely equiped: Microoven, toaster, fridge, glasses, plates, coups, spoons, forks, knife and evething else.
However, there were no much natural light from outside of the windows and then we have to turn on the lights all the time. The shower faucet need to be fixed, because it waste a lot of water. We've tried hard to close it, but it was impossible. Always dripped water on tap.
Douglas was a really nice guy. As an experient Airbnb host and guest we had a nice chat about the website. He is well knowledgeable about business and life, if you host him don't miss the chat ;)
He left my house neat and clean, really hard to notice he was around.
An Easy recommendation.
