My husband and I cannot even begin to express how much we enjoyed our time with Janet and Seamus! (website hidden).of.the.world! The location is REAL....not easy to find and completely off the beaten track, but absolutely perfect - situated on the top of a hill, surrounded by lush pastures and rugged terrain. It was exACTly what we were hoping for. Getting to be there during lambing season was absolutely incredible - an experience we both will never ever forget. EVER. It was a dream come true to see the border collies, feed some of the lambs, watch a birth, stomp all over creation looking for ewes, and be smack dab in the middle of it all.
Although it was an incredibly busy time for them, Seamus greeted us with drinks and showed us our room. The loft was, as he said, "Just like heaven." It.was.AMAZING! My husband made a fire and we got to watch little lambs play while we drank coffee. Yup....heaven. Since we were in a self service room (it had a kitchenette,) we paid a little extra for breakfast. Another home run - Janet made up a fantastic spread - SO yummy!
They were both so incredibly gracious to us and our absolute delight with the whole experience. They're real people - hard working and busy. Nothing foo-foo here - just REAL. And it was perfect. We were VERY blessed that they shared their lives with us.
We arrived late afternoon and after seeing the flat Jan asked if we wanted to go and help feed the lambs which we jumped at the chance to do. Seamus and Jan were very welcoming and gave us plenty of information about walks to do and drives to go on - Slea Head Drive being one of them which is a must. The flat is gorgeous, very comfortable with all the comforts, the view is stunning to watch the sun go down and to wake up to. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend the flat!
Our stay here in Dingle was the highlight of our stay in Ireland. Jan and Seamus were both very kind and helpful. Their place looks nice in the pictures, but it was even better in person. I would highly recommend staying with them if you want a quiet peaceful place in the beautiful Irish countryside. It was lambing season during our visit and Seamus let us feed the baby lambs and took us on a tour of some of his sheep fields. Highly recommended.
The apartment was lovely. Very tidy and well-equipped. Janet and Seamus are both very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this apartment to others.
Without a doubt, the best Christmas I have ever had. My husband, brother, and his girlfriend spent 3 nights over Christmas with Janet & Seamus and it was absolutely INCREDIBLE. The flat is perfect for 2 couples, and has ample room, a great kitchen, very clean, a fireplace, and a deck with THE BEST VIEW IN IRELAND. On top of the perfect place to stay, our hosts were amazing. Seamus let us handle some sheep and hike up their property. They also gave us our very own private tour of Slea Head Drive on Christmas Day (something they did NOT have to do with their holiday!). They are kind, gracious, and there for anything you may need. I am so happy we booked this instead of staying in Dingle town (which is only a 3 min drive away anyway!). If you are looking for a space in Dingle, do not look anywhere else... I cannot rave enough about this property. Overall, the flat is perfect, the property is perfect, and the hosts are perfect. We are already talking about when we can come back!
We arrived on bleak winter evening, but all was well once we got inside the flat. It was warm and a fire was set in the stove ready for lighting. We settled in nicely to this very homely place, perfect for up to four people. Jan had left the basics for breakfast in the fridge, which was very welcome. We enjoyed a very relaxing weekend at the flat, as it was out of Dingle town and surrounded by farms, but close enough to make the most of the craic there too.
We loved staying here! The flat was very cute, clean, and comfortable. Jan was a good communicator and made our arrival seamless. Jan and Seamus were excellent hosts. We heard some music we'd have never known about if not for their tips! Seamus took us up the hill to help feed the sheep and we had some incredible views from up there and got some memorable pics. Definitely a highlight of our trip!
The accomodation was great. We arrived late but found the house ok with the directions Janet provided. The apartment in the roof had good hot water & water pressure with a combustion fire we used each night.
This new, attractive boutique flat was super clean, comfortable and private. It boasts picturesque views of the farm and the surrounding countryside from the lounge room and is well equipped with everything you could possibly need.
We loved staying here in this well located flat just a few minutes drive from Dingle.
Thanks Janet for all of your thoughtful touches and thanks Seamus for taking us out to feed the sheep. We had a most memorable stay at your place in Dingle.
Janet and Seamus are great and we had a wonderful time on the farm. The room is welcoming and spacious with lots of nice touches. The setting couldn't be more beautiful with views in every direction and it's only a few minutes out of town. My husband even got a chance to walk around with Seamus and check out the sheep. Breakfast is spectacular!!!
