The Park House was exactly what we were looking for! Totally cute, clean, had everything we needed and just a quick walk from York. Ted's an awesome host and the house provides everything you need for a comfortable stay. The patio is great and perfect for a warm LA night. The design of the house is very cool and the individual touches like the light fixtures and custom shelving in the living room make The Park House stand out amongst other options. All of the details, towels, shampoo, soaps, washer/dryer, Brita filter etc. really add to the feeling of being "at home" and it was easy to relax there. I walked to yoga at Namaste, coffee at Cafe De Leche, record shopping at Permanent and had a rental car so quickly drove over to Glendale for Whole Foods. I would definitely stay again and would easily recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.
We had a great stay at The Park House. It couldn't have been more convenient and easy to arrive. Everything was just as described and the longer we stayed the more we realized Ted was the perfect host. He and G had thought of everything to make it a great home away from home. We can't wait to come back to Highland Park and stay here again. This is our first Airbnb contact and it was perfect!
Prior to arrival, Ted's assistant reached out to do an in-person welcome. Very nice. The neighborhood is low-key and great. Good beer, pizza and taco trucks are a short walk away. Dedicated parking is a huge plus. Consistent, reliable wi-fi.
Highland Park can get *very* hot in the summer so beware.
We had a really nice time in Los Angeles staying at Ted's house. The house in itself is great for a couple. Nice and stylish, with everything you need and a lovely patio where we had all our meals from morning to evening. It is very conveniently located, in a charming quiet neighbourhood, with a supermarket, nice bars, cafés and restaurants at a walking distance. We are quite close to many L.A. attractions (Hollywood, Griffith Park, Downtown...), only a 15-20 minutes drive, which is nice for such a big city. We were welcomed by Giulianna with whom we had been in contact before arrival. She was nice and helpful and told us we could call her anytime if needed. Thanks to her and Ted, no doubt we will stay again at this lovely house if we come to L.A. again.
Ted was fantastic, we arrived early and he was able to accommodate us and get us in very quick. The location is great for exploring all of LA, especially if you have rented a car. The neighbourhood is very trendy and has lots of great stores. The house itself is cozy, has everything you need, and the backyard is great. I would recommend this house to anybody
I did not think it would be possible, but my second stay was even better than the first.
As with my initial visit, working with the hosts was smooth: they are quick and easy to communicate with, friendly, and highly responsive. (They made sure I had to the entry code far ahead of time, to minimize any last minute details.) The house was lit and inviting when I arrived, fresh linens and towels awaited, filtered water chilled in the refrigerator, and the place was immaculately clean. And since my last visit, there were new comfort upgrades with vented air conditioning and a remote-controlled ceiling fan in the bed room. (These were perfect additions for the time of my visit, as the L.A. summer swelled to 95 degree days. At night, the new fan nicely pulled in air from outside and kept things perfectly cool.)
This stay I made dinner a few nights for friends, and was happy to find a nicely-stocked kitchen -- with pots and pans, utensils, and cooking staples. (And also everything necessary to clean up afterwards!) Although it's a compact layout, cooking in the kitchen was a breeze, and sitting out on the back deck made the result even more enjoyable. (As was taking the short walk down to York St. afterwards to enjoy an after-dinner drink.)
Another key element: the bathroom was spotless when I arrived, had hotel-quality towels, and provided multiple shampoos, conditioners, and lotions to use. The on-demand water heater kicks in quickly, and does not disappoint. And opening the window (and sliding door in the living room) makes it almost as if you were showering outside. (But don't worry, the location is entirely enclosed and secluded by natural elements, so you have your privacy and can enjoy the moment all to yourself.)
This place (and the hosts) are a jewel! If you are destined for Highland Park, this place is -- in a word -- perfect, and shouldn't be missed!
The Park House is a lovely house for 2 persons. Furnishing is quite modern with industrial art and elements. We enjoyed the back yard which has sun from breakfast to dinner and its privacy. Also the outside lighting in the evening is very attractive. Parking is very convenient on your own drive way. Ted's housekeeper Guiliana realy takes care of you and arranged late check in for us as our arrival was unexpectedly delayed. Communication is easy and responsive. On this year's trip through California this was the best place we have stayed.
The Park House is beautiful ! Wonderful ambience and great little house to live in. It truly felt like home. The payio was awesome at night & super private. It was stocked with basic cooking essentials, coffee , and snacks. The town its in a super cute hipster-y town with great restaurants and a cool bar within walking distance. 15/30 min from Hollywood and downtown depending on traffic. Guilanna answered questions as soon as I texted her during our stay and was pleasant to communicate with.
One word describes The Park House - PERFECT.
I had the pleasure of spending 5 weeks there. We were warmly welcomed by Giulianna and Ted contacted to make sure we had settled in.
The house has all the amenities (and more) required for a comfortable stay. Great garden to relax in.
It is located in a great neighboured near funky bars and cafes.
Definitely the only place to stay in Highland Park.
Thank you Ted and Giulianna
I felt like home the minute I entered the house. I enjoyed staying there very much, it had everything I need- privacy, comfort, kitchen, parking, patio, lots of light, cozy, artsy atmosphere and hip neighborhood. Loved it!:)
Ted is quite an awesome individual. As an Airbnb host myself, I can assure you that your experience at Ted's Home will be a great one.
