Mary is a nurse who works in the operating room in a Monterey hospital. Johnny is music with G clefts in his DNA. A, 'B' Flat, we call him.
John was an Alaskan crab/salmon fisherman thru the 70's with a background in music but he wanted adventure in his 20's. Mary was living in Hawaii where she had gone to nursing school and was working at the Kona hospital in Kealakekua, Big Island when they met.
After John made the decision to quit fishing and make a career of music we had to find a place where that would work. We spent the 80's in Key West, Florida where John played Sloppy Joes as his primary work spot. In 1992 we relocated to the Monterey Bay area. Now rather than live in vacation spots we go on vacations like normal people. Our favorite was western Europe in the 90's turning to Eastern Europe in the 2000's and more recently Bosnia and Serbia. John returns to Key West each year to play music with one of his 4 bands. Mary spends her birthday each year visiting a friend from her many moves as a military brat.
We love to hear the stories of other travelers, the trials, the good and the bad. After all some of our worst misadventures are our best stories and yielded the best results!
We are frugal travelers therefore we have been able to take a full month of vacation several years in a row roaming Croatia, Poland, Slovenia, Bosnia, Serbia, Hungary yada, yada, yada.
We love the big cities of New York, Chicago, Seattle you name it. We want to go. We love to know more about cultures, religions, books, travels and music of course.
Mary has completed online and offline ID verification.
