In the past 4 years, only rarely have I received a poor review for this or any apartment in the Villa and I hope future guests will read the 80+ other reviews I have received to make a judgement.
I'm happy to receive all types of guests but Les was a particularly strange guy. He was extremely reclusive and refused to have the cleaning lady, or anyone else, enter his apartment for his full 3 week stay. However, he had many frequent guests and went through plenty of sheets and towels. Several times during his stay I messaged him asking how everything was, if the apartment was okay, if he needed anything, etc. He was completely unresponsive, not answering a single message. I found this pretty strange. Finally, I saw him one day entering the villa and spoke to him, asking him how everything was going. "Great", he said, "no problems, but I could use some extra sheets and towels". I brought them to him within an hour and left them hanging on the doorknob because he wouldn't answer his door.
At the end of his stay, I sent him 2 messages asking him what time he planned to check out (check out time is flexible) so that I could get the apartment ready for the next guests. He didn't bother to respond.
If this guy had any complaints, big or small, real or imagined, he had every possible opportunity to say something during his 3 week stay. Instead, he preferred to tell me everything was just fine, and then leave this nasty, untruthful review. I get all kinds of guests and do my best to keep everyone happy and satisfied and it's difficult for me to understand this type of behavior. It's very rare.
I have hosted over 1000 guests from about 40 countries. I don't get many bad reviews, and when someone does have a complaint or a suggestion I take it seriously. But this guy is just not a serious person.
