This was a great (though small) place in the heart of Nolita/Soho. Clean and not overcrowded with stuff. It was super convenient for many subway lines and easy walk to Lower East Side and Village as well. Jacob was easy to contact and quick to respond. Thanks for a great stay!
Jacob was an amazing host. Quick to reply and really helpful. The apartment was perfect for what we needed. The best location hands down!
Apartment was clean and had everything we could need.
Thanks for the great stay !
I had a great stay in NYC partly due to the awesome location where I stayed. The neighborhood was great, not so touristy and so many cool shops and restaurants nearby, and some great cafe's as well. Jacob was gracious enough to let us check in early as our plane arrived in Newark at 6:00am. We had breakfast and then checked in after that. The apartment was tidy and clean. there were a few cleaning supplies handy, but if you run out there's a small grocery store across the street. I'm not picky or finicky, the place was clean and everything worked and the location was awesome!
Jacob's place was great - perfectly situated on Mulberry St, and very close to all subways and great shops, bars and restaurants. It was hot when we arrived in NY so the aircon was welcome. Apartment has everything you need, including a hair dryer and good wifi. It's up one flight of stairs and is on a corner, so was pretty noisy at night - bring your earplugs (tho this is pretty true for all NY!). Jacob is a great host and responds quickly to requests, not that we needed him except to check in and out.
The host did not contact me to ask if I was in need of anything. He did not leave the wifi password upon arrival and I had to contact him.
Location, Location, Location. This place is surrounding by bars, restaurants, cafes, etc. Everything you would ever need. 3 of us stayed there which is pretty tight by still comfortable. The futon wasn't too comfortable but totally sleepable. The apartment itself looks recently redone and updated. One downside is the internet barely functioned at all. Obviously not much time was spent inside, but the extra-slow wifi was a pain when wanting to look something up really quick or plan where we were going for the day. It can be a bit noisy as well but it is NY.. We didn't have hot water the first night but I think it was just something with the building, so wasn't too big of a deal as the next morning and the rest of the time it was totally fine. Make sure to bring some body soap as well as toilet paper as there was only 1 roll. Overall we had a great time in NYC and enjoyed staying at Jacob's place.
I had a great stay at Jacob's flat. It literally couldn't have been better located, with a great Whole Foods-style grocery store across the street and the fabulous McNally Jackson Bookstore and Cafe right on the corner. The flat is well sized and would be very comfortable for a couple visiting New York - plenty of space to hang clothes and store luggage. I'll definitely be looking to stay here next time I visit the city. Moreover, Jacob was an amazingly accommodating host - he was extremely flexible with our check-in/check-out times, and responded with amazing swiftness to fix an issue with the wi-fi on our first day. A true gentleman, and a great host! Highly recommended!
Four of us CCA students needed a safe place to stay by Cooper Union while we attended an event and this place was great! The internet was not good, but the place was clean, roomy and in an amazing neighborhood. It was safe and just what we needed!
I staid at Jacob's place with my two sons for a bit more than a week in April. It is a small, but very homely, clean apartment in the middle of downtown Manhattan. Perfect location, quiet place, nice neighbourhood. We enjoyed our stay immensly. Maybe it is a bit too small for three grown-ups (or semi-grown-ups), but manageable. Jacob's cleaner was waiting for us with the keys when we arrived so we didn't meet him in person, but he was always available when we needed him or had questions. A nice host and a nice apartment, I can only recommend it.
We had a great time at Jacob's place. I agree with the other reviews. Clean, plenty of room for us (3). Bathroom was fine. Good kitchen, bedding, pillows, etc. Front bedroom was a little noisy but also very bright in morning. Curtains or dark shades would be better in order to sleep past dawn! We would stay again for convenience (loved the Cafe Gitane, Grey Dog right outside the door has great breakfast, Little Cupcake Shop).
Jacob, his family and dogs were great guests. They were very friendly and clean. I highly recommend them.
