From NY love to travel, Surfing, and hanging with friends and family
We had a good stay at Jacob's place on Mulberry. Jacob was very accomodating in letting us get in a bit early due to our early flight. The location was great, on a relatively quiet street but close to lots of bars, restaurants, shopping, NYU, Little Italy, etc. It wasn't spacious, but sufficient. Pillows had seen better days.
Stayed in Jacob's apartment in April 2014, perfect location. Great places to eat and shop which suit my preference. Good food, not too fancy. Communicating with Jacob was easy with a quick response time.
It was great for a business traveler. I got there at an odd time but my host had a person nearby to let me in. The accommodations were great, TV easy to operate and the neighborhood lively and interesting..
Jacobs place is newly renovated, spotlessly clean and perfectly organized to provide for an orderly and carefree stay. It also happens to be in one of my favorite neighborhoods. It's on the ground floor, and the views are out into the narrow airspace between adjacent buildings, but I didn't need a view as I only needed the place at night. The unit was quiet, the bed was super comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom are brand new with great water pressure, and Jacob has a full range of channels on his excellent and large TV. (Those of you who know AirBNB know that hosts frequently only maintain the minimum three Time Warner channels.) If cleanliness, comfort, great kitchens and bathrooms, well-managed-ness and location are more important to you than views to the street, this is a perfect 10.
From Laura: Jacob's cozy little place in Nolita was brilliant! Comfortable, warm, very clean..I felt right at home as soon as I arrived. Some points:
Location: Amazing! I love this area of NYC. Boutique shops on every street, great little cafes and bars, easy access to the metro (1 minute walk) Allows you to be away from the madness of NYC, but still enjoy all of her greatest treats.
Jacob/Host: Absolute star. Extremely punctual, (stood in the cold and wet for about 20 minutes as he waited for us to arrive from the airport to let us in) Very responsive: Anytime I emailed Jacob he would reply within .5-1 hour max. Accommodating: He provided us his season tickets to the Brooklyn Nets (paid of course, but at his yearly rate) Jacob also allowed us to have a late checkout to accommodate our evening flight.
Apartment: Small, but welcome to NY! The space works really well, and Jacob has done a very good job in providing a comfortable homely place, with style.
Other comments: highly recommended
The location was so great! We mainly stayed in the area the whole time with great restaurants, bars, and shopping right outside the door. The couch isn't so comfortable for a third person, but the location was well worth it. I would definitely stay here again.
The apartment is (website hidden)'s in a fantastic spot. Jacob is very accommodating and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Great Stay. Jacob was very helpful and accommodating. Nice eateries close by. Prime location steps away from everything. Would definitely stay again.
Super fast, super clean, super nice! Jacob is a great host!
We had the best time in NYC and absolutely loved the Soho area! So much happening on the streets, great shops and restaurants. Jacob's apartment was such a good location (closest subway 1.5blocks away very easy to get around) and the apartment was a good size and very comfortable. We would recommend anyone to stay at Jacob's place you won't be disappointed but remember to pack light the Soho shopping is amazing!!
