I have lived in New Orleans all of my life, and I love hosting people who come to the enjoy the city. I also love to travel - and I travel in a very comfortable, modest style. I love camping and canoeing. I am an artist and I work in technology.

This turned out to be a great place. We felt like we were totally in New Orleans, in a lush and lovely spot in Bywater.
There were three of us, needing three separate beds, and that's what we got. Excellent! The place was clean as a whistle, and had everything we needed for a short stay.
The security was just fine. Communication with our host was smooth. I'd stay here again!
The space is very cute! Leslie wasn't able to be there while we we there, but everything we needed was easy to find. She also emailed me to see how everything was going.
The bus stop is a couple of blocks away, although it takes about 15 to 20 minutes to walk to frenchmans st. There are some really good restaurants within walking distance (my favorite was Elizabeth's).
The place is cute, clean, and nice to hang out in! I highly recommend you give this place a chance
Leslie has an incredible little escape from the hustle and bustle of New Orleans in this little gem of a place! Snuggled into a residential street, you step into the courtyard after a long day of fun in the French Quarter (within walking distance) and feel instantly relaxed. The unattached bathroom/shower are right outside the door and was more adventure than inconvenience. She had plenty of helpful info about NOLA in the apartment, and she was a wealth of knowledge, too! Overall a great experience!
Nice and easy in a good location. Would be great for multiple people needing a place to crash.
The apartment was true to the photos and description. It was comfortable, unique, and equipped with what my daughters and I needed for our stay in New Orleans. Leslie was friendly and helpful with useful information about the area. We felt welcome but also had privacy and our own space. We had a fantastic stay in New Orleans( it was our first time) and staying here was a great part of our trip!
Leslie made us feel very welcome and we were very comfortable in her Garage Apartment. We would happily consider staying there again. The Bywater is great neighborhood to visit and Leslie had some great suggestions for us while we were there. If you are considering staying there, my wife and I would like to heartily recommend that you do.
The apartment is lovely and the neighborhood very friendly. If you see someone on the street, they'll say "Hi". It's a short 15 minute walk to the Quarter (less to Frenchman's St). And there are great places to eat less than 10 minutes away (Elizabeth's and the Cake Cafe).
Leslie was great! We arrived at the apartment early afternoon and the keys were exactly where expected, the beds were set up, and the apartment was spotless. We were able to walk to the French Quarter (it's about a 30 minute walk) and felt safe in the apartment after dark. Leslie gave us plenty of privacy and we actually only saw her once, though it was obvious how sweet she was just from that one interaction. If you are looking for a unique and safe spot to stay in New Orleans, I would definitely book Leslie's apartment. All three of us are looking forward to staying here again!
This was such a cute place to stay! Location was great, and room was well kept! The bathroom and shower were attached to the main house so you do have to walk outside to use them. The bed is a fold down as well so if you have 4 people it would be a tight squeeze on the beds! Overall a great experience!
Leslie's place was great- exactly as described. The room itself was very clean, with good light. Plenty of blankets, pillows and towels available. The courtyard looked great, though it rained for most of our visit, so we didn't spend much time there. The location was easy enough to get to all the places you want to go in New Orleans. Leslie was great, responded quickly to comments/questions and made herself available. Would highly recommend and would stay again!
Leslie was great. We did enjoy having her at the hotel. We hope she will come back again. Thanks Leslie for being a great guest. Harold
Leslie hosted me in her lovely Garage Apartment for 10 days (before she was even on airbnb) while I was immersed in a program at Wild Lotus Yoga in the New Orleans Healing Center. I was one of her first guests!
She is an awesome host, kindly picked me up from the airport when I arrived (saving me time AND money), made sure I had everything I needed, and was interesting and fun.
Her home is very comfortable and has 3 quirky cats whom I adore. They don't go in the garage apartment though.
The space was comfortable with its own heater/air conditioner and mini fridge. The neighborhood has an up & coming downtown vibe with beautiful old architecture. There are some excellent cafes, restaurants, wine bars and coffee houses within walking distance and it's a short cab ride from the French Quarter.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit -- highly recommended!
