Hi! I'm 35 years old. I love yoga, vintage clothes, rock&roll music, and animals. I am up for traveling any chance I get, and I love meeting new people!
Great house and comfortable bed! April was quick to respond to my messages and provided me a list of great vegetarian restaurants in Memphis. She was a great host.
April gave me a great rundown of the city and was a pleasure to talk to, and her place is great! So much fun stuff in the apartment to look at if you're into retro pop culture!
My 14 year-old sister and I were traveling through Memphis sort of last minute. I had been told that I may not want to stay IN Memphis by a few friends who had been through Memphis last year. However, after talking with April, she made me feel like this would be a safe, comfortable place to stay. She was RIGHT!
Her house was just a couple blocks from St. Jude's and had easy access (with about 6 block walk) to the trolley. We didn't ever need to drive around in Memphis until we wanted to go to Graceland. However, there are enough things to do in the Memphis downtown, that we could have spent a couple days downtown looking around and still had things to do!
April is a great host and I highly recommend staying at her place!
April's Airbnb is in a 1900-era house just a trolley ride or walk to the north of the restaurants and nightlife downtown. My room upstairs was clean and I felt at home immediately. She was helpful to explain various accommodations I needed: parking, breakfast, hot water. Her long-haired cat was cute! I enjoyed my stay in Memphis at April's and would recommend her.
April is super nice and she helped me a lot to find my around the city. If I am ever in Memphis again, I would want to stay at April’s place again.
April was a considerate and friendly hostess. There is plenty of space in the house. The home is charming and spacious. April was more than helpful with check-in, check-out, and any other questions I had. She offered her netflicks account on a big screen tv, and we had a nice connection related to all of the incredible E.T. related decor (both of us lifelong E.T. fans!). Her cat, Mimi, is very sweet and loves to spend the night. I'm not a cat person, but still enjoyed mimi as well as the house.
I hate to leave a so so review of Aprils place. However I wish some of the other people would have noticed the things I noticed so I could have stayed elsewhere.
Great Host- very easy to communicate with and contact. Very flexible with check in and check out.
Great house with everything you need.
The cat was really cute but every time I opened the bedroom door it would race in and jump all over the bed and my stuff. When I wouldn't let it in the room it meowed all night.
I actually took my things to a friends hotel so I could get ready without the cat harassing me.
If you live with a cat and don't mind hair all over and snuggling with a super sweet cat then this place would work great.
April was super nice and I hate to leave this review I just think people should know what they are getting into. I had forgotten how annoying cats are and how white cat hair gets onto everything and is hard to get off.
Can I give the location and host 5 stars and the cat 1 ?
April's house was great, she was a perfect hostess and the location was very convenient. Gigi was also a very friendly feline hostess. Highly recommended.
April was very responsive and answered all my questions ahead of time as well as when I arrived. She really made me feel at home and told me I could use her fancy TV set up after showing me how to use it. The place was even cuter than the photos, and the bath tub was to die for! I ended up with a bit of a cold during my stay so it proved more important than I thought when I was booking the place. This was my first airbnb experience and it far exceeded my expectations!
April is a great host, gave me some handy local tips and was very welcoming. Her house is close to the heart of memphis and full of character
