We had a wonderful and cozy weekend at the pad. It really is a throwback to the '70s, complete with a great vinyl assortment, animal skin rugs, and shaggy pillows. The house was very clean and the owner provided lots of helpful information in the welcome packet. The screening room was a bonus- it was a rainy, icy weekend, so we ended up watching 3 movies in 2 days! Great stay- would recommend to friends.
The Treehouse was adorable! Exactly as pictured. It was nice and cozy with two king sized beds and 2 full baths! The kitchen was fully stocked with spices and every cooking appliance you could possibly need. There are tons of great hiking trails near by and a little town close by for groceries, dining out, liquor stores, etc.
It's definitely secluded, so make sure to get groceries and gas before you get there. Closest town is about 20 min away. That being said, we really enjoyed unplugging and taking hikes along the ponds near by. It was so nice to get away from the city and wake up to the sounds of nature not trash trucks! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to unwind!
The Tree house is FANTASTIC. A group of 5 of us spent 5 nights over the holidays. Previous reviews accurately capture the magic of this place - turntable with an extensive record collection, projector screen for movies, tons of light, comfy couches, so many cookbooks, a well-equipped kitchen, etc. In addition, Mister is great - totally responsive, totally helpful. We had an amazing time and plan to return in the spring.

This was the most amazing place to stay! Everything was clean, cozy, the record collection and player was fantastic and it was so fun to watch a movie in the screening room. Would definitely recommend and we'll definitely be back!
It was such an amazing time, I wish we stayed longer. The house is very tastefully decorated and had everything we need. We got very clear instructions on how things are working so everything worked smoothly for us. We definitely would love to come back in Spring again.
I booked Basquali's "Pudding Pad" for two friends for a weekend getaway and they enjoyed the space, location, and amenities it provided. Some of the perks they loved were the record collection and Projection Room. Basquali was a true professional that provided excellent communication and was extremely thorough about the details of the listing and what to expect. As a Host, this was appreciated. I would highly recommend working with Basquali.
Had a great time in the Pudding Pad. Loved the screening room for watching movies.
I was initially concerned when the host sent me a 7 page packet with rules and regulations to sign as I thought it was a bit intense. However everything in the 'packet' was reasonable and perfectly understandable so I had no problems here. It just showed how much thought was put into everything which also showed in the totally useful and much appreciated 'welcome guide' that was provided as well.
Would definitely stay here again without hesitation.
Great house, great funky decor. Very comfy. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would recommend it to anyone.
Where do I start?
Right from the start communication was great. All my questions were answered promptly and a wealth of information was given to make us feel extremely comfortable before stepping foot into the house. Our host understood our needs and prepared the house for our arrival earlier that morning. Detailed explanations with pictures were indescribably helpful once we arrived. It is true hospitality when everything is made so easy and comfortable.
How was Pudding Pad? The pictures do not do the space justice. We knew that we were getting just what we wanted as we pulled into the long driveway; a relaxing getaway away from noise and people. From almost all areas of the house and property, you barely notice anyone else. Your neighbors are trees, grass, birds and a nice lake.
The house itself is retro, modern and minimal in the best ways imaginable. Picture your Brooklyn hipster friends buy a 70s style, wood paneled pad and decorate in minimal mid-century modern and you get the Pudding Pad Lake House.
The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with everything you may need to cook and entertain and the screening room was comfortable and had everything you would need to screen movies to just watching cable. Our favorite feature was the record player along with the fantastic selection of vinyl. We were most excited, before arriving, about the ping pong table in the garage, but instead, spent most of our time listening to vinyl and reading. While we didn't manage to find any charcoal to do any grilling, even the local markets were out, we did take advantage of the small fire pit in the backyard to make some s'mores. Speaking of the yard, we couldn't help but run around and run all the way down to the lake at the end of the property. And by we I mean our dog.
It was chilly while we were there but the heating worked well. Almost too well, as we wound up kicking the covers off in our sleep. There was a hiccup with the boiler but our host managed to get someone out quickly. Again, he was very responsive along the way and in the end everything worked out to our satisfaction.
To summarize, we had a fantastic time. Our host were responsive and great a communicator. The house is a fantastic getaway in the middle of nature. Finally, go for the vinyl collection, you will not be disappointed. Oh, and lastly, the coffee was pretty darn good as well.
