I am the owner of smooch organic cafe in Brooklyn NY and I like lots of things including my wife, dogs and people who stutter.
Basquali is such an angel! The best host that I have had by far and could ever dream of. The Pudding Pad was a weekend haven for my friends and me. It is such an amazing and magical place. Every single moment was so aesthetically pleasing, that by the time I left, I felt like I had gotten a massage on my brain and eyeballs. A perfect place to cook a delicious meal, write, hike, listen to records and talk, take a break from the madness of the world — and I cannot wait until it is the summer so I can return and jump in that lake. Basquali was incredibly supportive through the entire process, and I promise you that booking with him is the best decision you have made in a very long time.
Mister B's place is the perfect mix of creature comforts and rustic. We were snowed while there, and between all the vintage vinyl and DVDs we had a grand time. Can't wait to return and explore the grounds!
Do yourself a favor! Give yourself a present and book this Treehouse Lovenest! What an amazing property! The physical location of the TH is stunning, in the middle of the woods. The silence is so soothing. The choices that Basquali and Michelle have made regarding layout, lighting, cooking, sound system are clear, simple and elegant. Go now while it is cold and enjoy the warmth of the wood stove! OMG! His Guidelines to the TH not only give you all the information you need but are written with warmth and humor. It is so clear how much love, care and thought the owners have put into the TH. Yes, do yourself a favor! Give yourself a present and book this Treehouse Lovenest!
This is one of the most amazing place I have ever been to. It is even nicer in reality than in the pictures. The woods surrounding the house are lovely, we had a wonderfull time looking at the tree leaves falling by the windows.
The house is full of amazing details : the decoration is wonderfull, the cooking books and the very well equipped kitchen, the candles, the fluffy pillows, the vinyl collection, the wood stove, … …
On the top of everything, Basquali and Michelle were very nice, helful and flexible with us.
We are flattered to be part of the lucky ones who got to the Treehouse lovenest and cannot wait to come back there to relax and enjoy nature in a super confortable place.
what a wonderful, relaxing retreat we had! My friend and I avec dog went up for the weekend. The views from the house are amazing-- lakefront! It was so peaceful. And everything was clean so there was no fear of icky-ness-- like "how long as this been here?" I would def recommend this place!
My boyfriend and I recently spent a very relaxing weekend at the Pudding Pad Lake House. Fall was just starting to set in, making for great views over the lake, and we took full advantage of the charcoal grill and well equipped kitchen. The house is in a neighborhood setting, but is very private and full of mature trees, a thick lawn, and small wildlife. The lake was a bit low the weekend we were there, but we took the canoe for a lovely spin around the lake none-the-less. The house has a charming and funky decor, and our favorite part might have been the record player and Basquali's huge collection of vinyl. Lots of R&B and disco! Perfect music for cooking and dancing. Basquali's attention to detail was felt in every room, and we would highly recommend staying here for a relaxing get away.

The perfect place to get out of the city to kick back and relax. And it's super close to Manhattan. Only an hour or so drive. Some of our favorite features of the house were the amazing record collection, the open kitchen, sunk-in living room, the massive deck, the wood burning fire place, and the super cool furniture collection. Not to mention the fantastic information and recommendations about the property and surrounding areas. Thanks Basquali! We'll definitely be back!
We had an amazing weekend at the Treehouse. It's a perfect sized house, beautifully furnished, in a beautiful setting, isolated enough yet close enough to anything you would need. Wanted to stay forever.
Will definitely be back.
Our stay at the Treehouse Lovenest was nothing short of magical. It was our first weekend away without kids in a long while, and we found the house to be romantic, cozy, charming and utterly rejuvenating. Basquali's choices in decor, music and furnishings added to the amazing location and grounds. We highly recommend this place.
a great little gem in the woods that was perfect for our weekend getaway from the city! Basquiali puts a lot of care into maintaining the house and making it feel like home for all their guests, which was greatly appreciated. we loved the retro vinyl collection, the honor system cocktail bar, all the little mid-century furniture touches, and the great BBQ and picnic table area. it was amazing that you could find such a great little oasis that was under 90 minutes from the city. Basquiali is also full of amazing ideas for restaurants and things to do in the surrounding area, and was super responsive when we had a question or two. i highly recommend the Treehouse...and i know we will back soon!
