Appartement parfaitement place tres proche des lignes de metro allant vers manhattan brooklyn williamsburg harlem ...
Appartement bien equipe et decore avec gout. Nous le recommandons pour des groupe de 6 pers car il y a 3 chambres.
I stayed here with students and chaperones on a school trip and we enjoyed both the apartment and the location. The Atlantic Ave. station easily got us to where we were going in Brooklyn and Manhattan each day. The only issue we had with the apartment is that there were not the adequate components for the inflatable mattresses that we had planned to use. I left a note for Ray upon our departure about this in hopes that those pieces are found. Since our group was smaller than planned, we didn't end up needing the mattresses and slept comfortably in the three rooms and the sofa.
We had 11 family members coming from Denmark for a family wedding in Brooklyn, NY. We live in California, but via airbnb, we found Ray & Dailey’s place for our family to stay. This was their first experience with airbnb accommodations, and they’re now going to continue using airbnb for their worldwide travels. We booked two apartments in one house, and it was centrally located, and easy to access the subway, nearby to shopping and restaurants, and they were only minutes from Manhattan and all the tourist sites. The lock-box arrangement allowed everyone flexibility in come and going, a great arrangement. Thanks for hosting our family! They had everything they needed: plenty of room, great beds, an amazing kitchen, washer and dryer, large screen TV, etc. Thanks
Carol & Anton
Got married last weekend here in Brooklyn, wanted to rent a place that could house my three out-of-town siblings' families in a convenient neighborhood - this could not have been a better fit.
Very (very!) clean, perfect size, loved the back area, super close to subway, excellent laundry facilities, great water pressure, beautiful neighborhood. Could not recommend it enough.
Ray & Dailey's beautiful duplex is a super, fantastic place! I rented both units for a week when family & friends, all ages, (from my 6 month old grandson to my 87 yr old dad)... came to NYC when my son got married in Brooklyn (Sept 2013). The duplex was more than awesome & it was way beyond my dreams & expectations!!! I held the Fri Eve Rehearsal Dinner & the Sunday Brunch on the spacious deck & patio. (Much larger than photos). I received so many compliments from all the guests on Ray & Dailey's beautiful duplex! Two of the 3 bedrooms (each with queen size beds), both bathrooms, the kitchen & the living room in both units are huge! There is a small bedroom in each unit, double bed in each, which was perfect for my 2 small granddaughters in one bedroom and perfect for my niece in the other! A full size crib (furnished in unit one) which we needed, fit perfectly in one of the larger bedrooms. We didn't need anything for cooking - there's great selections of cookware, utensils, spices, etc in both units. We had a dishwasher, a huge fridge, washer/dryer in each unit. The only glitch was that the wifi didn't work. One of my sons is a film critic & needed to submit an article while he was there. He didn't get it in on time, but there is a coffee shop nearby that he was able to use wifi at other times. The duplex is a very short walking distance to a 2 story mall (Target, Men's Wearhouse, etc), the Barclay Cntr, a Pathmark (open 24 hrs)! We only had one day when the street parking was difficult, otherwise not much trouble finding places to park. Whenever I had a question to ask Ray, he responded very quickly! Actually, I think I only had to contact Ray twice & both times were about wifi for my son. When you consider how many can sleep/stay there, and the price, and the space, and the beauty of the units... there is absolutely no comparison to staying at hotels! I travel to Brooklyn several times a year (from my home in AZ) & I hope Ray & Dailey's beautiful home will be available for me in all my future visits! My only suggestion would be to have a full length mirror in the units. There were many of us getting ready for the wedding and a full length mirror in both units, would've been nice to have.
I want to add that Ray was especially accommodating & let us check in at 10 am (normally it's in the late afternoon) on the morning my son, his wife & baby boy arrived at JFK, after their long flight!
Thank you, Ray & Dailey, for making our trip to Brooklyn and my son's wedding & the other festivities very pleasant, very comfortable and very memorable! You're the best! Your duplex is the best!!!!
This place has a great location and is very spacious. However, it is NOT as nice as the pictures. For example, the whole home is slanted. Our 2 yr old son had a tough time walking without falling over. The gate was broken, the sink was clogged, the bathroom rugs were dirty looking, fresh paint was needed throughout, etc...Maybe this place once looked a lot better and has not been well maintained. Also, the internet is painfully slow.
I wouldn't say "don't stay here" but just be aware that it is not as nice as the pictures represent. If location and space are most important to you, then this might be the place for you.
We'll come back ! Pieter(24),Kaat(22), Fien (19) en Ivo&Renilde (België).
Ray was a great host and very attentive when we needed anything -- when we tried to use the toaster and it was broken he came over the next day with a new one. Great access to subways and a nice back deck.
Ray and Dailey were great guests. They were friendly and great at communicating throughout their entire stay. I hope to welcome them back in the future.
This place is beautiful. It's in a great area for people who have never been to NYC. The area will also change the negative view that you may have of Brooklyn, from watching too many movies or tv shows. :) The host and Hostess are good people, very helpful and will make you feel at home.
