Eva was very responsive and helpful. Apartment is exactly as described- very spacious, indeed. Thanks Eva!
Eva's joint is great, spacious, and inviting. Her back yard is an amazing and rare Brooklyn treasure. Thank you!
Staying at Eva's was great! It was cozy and homey, perfect for a quick getaway. She was also pretty flexible about our check-in, which was great when we missed the train...her directions to her apartment were perfect, and it was literally a five minute walk to Prospect Park. Highly recommended!
Eva's apartment is as adorable as it looks in the pics. The location was convenient, being very close (1.5 blocks) to a well connected subway station and bus stop. It's also very close to the famous Prospect Park. Eva was a very gracious host. She helped me with commuting tips as well as other great tips on eats and places to see around town. She left her place clean and left me room to hang clothes and stow away other knick knacks. She had a lovely assortment of teas in her very cute kitchen, which I enjoyed waking up to each morning. Her shower was powerful and had good hot water, something much needed after along day of commuting in NYC subways! Overall I am very pleased with my experience and would stay at Eva's place again in a heartbeat!
We stayed at Eva's apartment for two nights while visiting NY and wish we could have stayed longer. The apartment was in a great location - gorgeous tree lined streets and quick walk to the subway. The space itself was really spacious, welcoming and homely. The walls were adorned with artwork and Eva has obviously put a lot of love and attention into her space. We felt as if we were getting an authentic Brooklyn experience staying there. Eva was friendly and very helpful, providing information about her neighbourhood and all the tidbits we needed to know. She was also very prompt in following up on our emails. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again in the future.
This was a last-minute booking (we booked on Sunday and wanted to check-in on Tuesday) and Eva got back to us very quickly when we made our inquiry about her apartment. Her fast response was really appreciated. Eva was flexible about the number of nights we could stay (we booked for 8 nights) and she was very easy to work with to arrange the booking.
Although we didn't meet Eva, she sent us several emails, and a detailed note about the apartment and the neighborhood. She also followed up with a phone call when we checked in to make sure everything was OK.
Finding on-street parking was a challenge on several nights and we had to drive around quite a bit to find a space and leave our car quite a ways away. You also have to move your car by 8:30 a.m. if you're parked on the side where street-cleaning is scheduled, but that's New York City.
Since this was so last-minute and Eva was out of town, the apartment wasn't set up for guests as I'm sure Eva would have liked. But overall the apartment was spacious and comfortable, and she helped us out in a pinch.
I only had the pleasure of meeting Eva when she was leaving to go back home. The apartment was left perfectly clean & sheets stripped off the bed. I'd definitely have Eva back again!
I've known Eva for almost twenty years. She's a dear friend and, for the past year, my downstairs neighbor. She's reliable, responsible, clear-minded, whip smart, and keeps a clean and tasteful home.
Eva's apartment is large and spacious, with a terrific back yard. It defies preconceptions about small New York apartments. I've lived in this neighborhood for six years and can't imagine leaving our tree-lined block, our proximity to Prospect Park, our convenient train access to the rest of the borough and the city.
I am a close friend of Eva’s—we work together, have travelled together, and I have stayed at her place, sometimes with her there, sometimes not. I’ve slept on multiple occasions on all the soft spaces in the apartment (bed, futon, and living room sofa), and though I have terrible sleeping problems I can vouch for getting a good night’s sleep there. There’s lots of space for dining/getting work done, both in the living area and in the office in the back. Since I am usually in town for a combination of working and socializing, proximity to the subway and the park is a huge plus—it’s so easy to get around the city from her place, and since I prefer traffic-free running, I’m so thrilled to be right by Prospect Park. The yard is gorgeous, and flowers when it’s warm out. Eva is a stellar host. Do it!!
