Rich was an incredibly generous host especially considering I stayed at his apartment during what was probably the 3 hottest days in Boston! He made breakfast, procured a fan to help ease the heat in his top floor walkup and we had some great conversations on the rooftop. Thanks again!
I had a great stay at Rich's apartment. Great location, a short walk from the Lechmere subway station. Pleasant accommodations, but the host, Rich, was the best part of the deal. He is an entrepreneur brimming with ideas; I am a guy who studies innovation. We are several long discussions that added intellectual nourishment to an otherwise very pleasant stay (despite an unexpected heat wave).
Our stay with Rich was our first AirBnB experience and we were positively surprised and happy with our choice. Rich is a very friendly, flexible and relaxed host. The place is ideal for working as well as exploring Boston. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, the fridge full and Wifi available. Overall, a good place to stay in Boston!

The adorable unit in East Cambridge is walking distance from MIT and the Lechmere stop on the T's Green Line. We easily found our way in, even though we checked in early. There were clean linens for us and the apartment was tastefully furnished. We got smoothies in the morning. Thank you Rich for an enjoyable stay!

Rich is a super guy and very accommodating. This was my first Airbnb experience so it was a bit of an adventure for me. I felt very at home. Honestly, I didn't see Rich other than we went to dinner on my last night. I worked quite a bit and it was much more comfortable and convenient than working in a hotel room. If you're going to be working there is good wireless and cell coverage. The location has good access to public transportation; an easy walk to MIT, a short bus ride to Harvard and easy subway (T) access around Boston. I would highly recommend Rich and his place. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
I stayed at Rich's place for 45 days and it was perfect, excellent location, close to subway, supermarket, park, museum and I had absolutely no problem. His place is clean, mattress is very comfortable and the apt is well equipped. Rich is an excellent host, very nice guy, friendly and we had nice talks. It's the most important issue of Airbnb, to meet different people around the world. I highly recommend it and if I come back here is the place!
I had a great time staying at Rich's place. Best location, nice interior, comfy bed. Rich was a good, reliable host, what more could you ask for! Oh, I have to mention his breakfast is super!
Rich is an amazing host! Energetic, cool, down to earth, considerate, and so much fun. John and I had a wonderful stay at Rich's place. We both believe Airbnb is not only about the place, but more importantly, the people and everything comes out of that. Rich interprets this spirit perfectly. The place is definitely no doubt-clean, cozy, and convenient to everything. Rich cooked breakfast for both of us and John ate 6 stripes of bacon, if I remembered correctly. Greetings from Bridget and John, Rich!
Here’s the deal. Rich is a host. And, as a host I thought he would have shown a little bit more respect for my place.
I. Was. Wrong.
I really only have one house rule. Mi Casa Su Casa. As in if you would trash your own home don’t stay at mine. Which is exactly what Rich and his brother did. I was working remotely in SF, so I never had the chance to meet Rich, but through email and text messages he seemed like a decent guy. Appearances are deceiving.
After Rich stayed at my home--my caretaker came over to discover a total shitsty. She took out 4 bags of beer cans, cleaned up puke off the toilet, found bloody paper towels, gum in the carpet and busted wooden mat. Clearly these guys know how to party.
In my opinion Rich is a bit of a bozo. We had an exchange via text message where I outlined my case and told him that he need to cough up some cash to cover the damage (which he did). The guy admitted that his trip to Denver “was the hardest he’d ever partied.” I appreciate the confession but that’s the last thing I wanted to hear. It makes me imagine my place was completely overrun with party animals puking and boozing.
He also left my door unlocked when he left. Which is sooo annoying for someone working in a different city. A needless headache.

My advice to Rich, next time, skip the Airbnb and get a hotel. They’re used to cleaning up after people like you. That’s the difference between staying at an Airbnb and a hotel. You would think another host would understand.
I had a great time hosting Rich and his friends. They were a fun group with a positive, upbeat attitude about life! They loved the use of the kitchen and exploring everything we have to offer outside in Vermont! Rich was respectful, neat & clean. I would be happy to host him and his friends any time!
