Luat and her sister were fantastic guests: very open, kind and respectful. Conversation was easy to flow, and it was a shame that they couldn't stay longer. Two great girls... certainly welcome in my house at any time. Thank you girls for the lovely message you left... When I come to NY coffee is on me. All the very best.
Luat and her sister stayed here while was not here, but everything went perfect. It was easy to communicate to arrange everything!
I recommend her as a guest!
Luat was a wonderful guest. She was super nice and friendly. We saw each other in the mornings and she was always pleasant. I would recommend her highly to other hosts and would welcome her back anytime.
Luat was great fun to have around. I wish I had got to spend more time with her. Actually i think my flatmate monopolised her and they discussed everything from politics to philosophy. I liked that Luat was so down to earth when her day job is being a physics professor and the only female in a male-dominated department - I bet that's fun :-p. You will have to come back, Luat, so we can pick up where we left off!.
Luat was a wonderful guest. We shared food, stories, and even some champagne! Luat came as a stranger and left as a friend. We can only hope she comes to visit us again when she's in San Jose. We would recommend her to any other hosts!
Luat, her mom and sister were great guests that are welcome back any time they need a place in Brooklyn. Everyone would be happy hosting them!
Luat and Justine were delightful guests.
I doubt it if any other host on Airbnb has ever been this spoiled by two of his most distinguished (website hidden) be honest, I was initially kind of worried that these smart folks who were coming to my place might find it hard to understand me, or even to relate to my rather simple world. These guys speak of Xs + Ys = Zs; a language which I do not understand. They surprised me!
Luat is a PHD in Applied Physics. Justin is a Scientific Researcher. I had the pleasure of sharing my home with the couple for 12 days, while they were in the city looking for a permanent home of their own. Come this Fall, they are both going to start work with the City University of New York; Luat as an Assistant Professor of Physics, Justin as an Advanced Neuroscience Researcher. The couple's greatest hope and aspiration is to be part of a Science that ultimately benefits and elevates mankind.
On the first day of their arrival, they brought me a sampling of delicious gourmet foods from Spain and the Netherlands. Later on during the days that followed, they took me to a fancy Chinatown restaurant. We had dinner on a large round table that was filled with a most delicious assortment of quintessential Vietnamese foods, fruits and vegetables. That was my first time eating Vietnamese. Boy the food was so exotic and so exquisite!
When the bill came, Luat politely but firmly declined my offer to contribute. Honestly I felt a little guilty because the bill was a rather large bill.
On the day before they left, Justin brought me a brand new copy of an excellent classic story by Herman Melville titled MoBY-DICK. I have been savoring the story every day on the train while on my way into the city.
Luat and Justin are not only two outstanding and promising young scientists, they are also two human beings with a very big heart. You would be lucky to meet them. I was.
