2nd time back for us and still completely happy with our stay. House is ideal for us, neighborhood great, city excellent. Silvia, the agent, is completely helpful and the owner is instantly reachable and also very helpful. The house is very spare and elegant but if you are looking for more plushness you should select a different style of house. We like it just the way it is.
I stayed here with a group of 9 in January 2015. This house was truly beautiful, and looks exactly like the pictures. Don't let the view from the street fool you. We really enjoyed our stay, and the house manager and owners were very responsive. The house was great for spending a lazy afternoon, cooking in a very modern kitchen, and even watching a movie on a projector. It's also well located in Merida and close to a number of restaurants, although I'd recommend bringing a car if you can. We would all stay here again given the chance.
The only reason I removed one star is because of some hot water and gas issues during our stay, but the owners were very responsive and quickly resolved the issues.
A great house in a great location. Nice and cool even on humid days. Easy walk to Centro and all it has to offer. Adam was always quick to respond and we always had someone there to help in Merida.
I've had this beautiful house on my wish list for over two years. It was well worth the wait! We arrived a bit late but, were still able to rendezvous with the lovely hostess, and enjoy a walk through of the space, which is always very helpful; especially in a foreign place. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare a meal/snack. The upstairs den was equipped with a large screen TV and easily over 200+ movies to watch; the kids loved that! We throughly enjoyed our stay! We even washed clothes and hung them to dry on both floors-that was fun!One thing I must honestly forewarn future guests about...it may be very difficult at times to get out of the house. All the wonderful creature comforts that are available made it a chore at times to simply get out and enjoy Merida and the surrounding region. But really...who can complain
Our family really enjoyed the house. The rooms were clean and spacious.Interior decoration is amazing-colors, design.
Pool and outdoors area was were we enjoyed most of our time and enjoyed the beautful weather.
The cleaning service was top-notch and attention to detail and service was really appreciated by all of us.
Adam made our experience an enjoyable one.
Would Highly Recommend this house for anybody visiting Merida.
An excellent airbnb experience.
Adam the host, was communicative from booking to beyond over email. During my stay I asked more general questions about the city culture and he kindly shared his Merida knowledge with me. Sylvia the house manager, goes above and beyond too. She waited much longer than anyone should have for my delayed arrival and was extremely helpful in calmly directing me to what I immediately needed when I arrived with no baggage.
You cant go wrong with this house, this neighborhood and this city. The interior design is eye candy. The space is overflowing with light, color, Merida history and modernity. Superb and generous kitchen that gives you a clear picture of the backyard. The casita at the back of the property is a hidden gem where you are 10 steps away from a swim in your private pool. Wake up to symphonic bird calls like you've not heard before.
How could it be better, 9 other people you have to share all this luxury with ?
- maybe, maybe not...
I stayed at Casa Cárdenas with five other graduate students during a week-long conference in Mérida. The house was breathtaking. Every room had character, from the entryway to the kitchen and the bedrooms. It's an easy walk to the Santa Lucia Square and its restaurants and historical sites; we took affordable taxis to the hotel where the conference took place. If I ever find myself in Mérida again, I'd love to stay here.
This is a great house for a group looking for a place to rent in Merida. Great style, lots of space, and close to the local market and el centro. We were only 6; once you get over that though you'll probably be pulling straws over the 3 amazing bedrooms and the other 2 (still very nice but less desirable) bedrooms.
Thanks for having us, we're already plotting our return!
La pasamos muy bien en El Caballito, se trata de una casa amplia, cómoda, colorida, cercana al centro de Mérida y con acabados muy padres. Es ideal para 2 parejas, se las recomiendo ampliamente,
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. It's centrally located and walking distance from markets, downtown and great food. Merida is a charming town with lots of character. I would love to visit City and this house again. Thank you for a wonderful time.
I had a regular communication with Adam and it all worked out well with arranging the keys and apartment. They were great guests and left the apartment nice and clean. I hope they visit again!
