At first I though Michael was a very nice person, easy going and pleasant to have at my home.
Then, after he left, I realized I was wrong.
He wrote a review on my profile that was so negative and disappointing, and the whole review concerned needs that he did not communicate.
He wrote that the bathroom ran out of toilet paper as one of the reasons for considering his stay at my place 'fair to poor'. Now, I say, why didn't he ASK me for toilet paper? In the 7 nights that he slept at my place, not once he asked us for toilet paper or he communicated his discomfort. He would come home around 9 pm, and if we were hanging out in the living room he would quickly say hi, decline our offer to seat and hang out with us, apologize that he was 'exhausted' and then shut himself in the bedroom. We were there to listen to his needs, and asked every evening 'how are you?', but he never once mentioned the toilet paper or other easy-to-fix- needs that we could have addressed immediately.
He also complained about the room being 'occupied' by someone else, when obviously my home is not a bed and breakfast and in the listing it is obviously stated that it is a sublet with a shared bathroom.
He took more time in writing the review than in trying to communicate with me during his stay.
Airbnb hosts: be aware of this guest. He will completely lack in communication and then ruin your airbnb reputation with one, long, negative and hostile review against a lot of positive ones.
What a lovely, thoughtful, considerate person! He was an absolutely delightful guest. We liked him so much we invited him to Gina's upcoming birthday party!
