Hand over of the keys went real easy
apartment was clean
Supermarket just at the corner
This apartment is probably rented all year long, the furniture/decoration are minimalist.
Some wall and other parts (by now details) need to be refreshed soon
Second bed is in the living room ...
The 15 min walk to Alexander is ok
Very unpleasant is the construction of this new building immediately next door, they wake you up from 07.00 in the morning!!
This listing was not as we expected. This property is listed as having 2 bedrooms and that is why we chose it. It doesn't. There was one main bedroom with the second on offer being a single bed made up in the loungeroom. The kitchen had no cups or saucers, no mugs and one wine flute and the cutlery was minimal. In the bedroom there was no wardrobe, drawers or shelves for your clothes. One bath towel and one smaller towel were provided for a 5 night stay. There was one tea towel in the kitchen and minimal wash up liquid for dishes and no clothes washing powder. The light in the kitchen didn't work and neither did the one in the lamp in the loungeroom. The kitchen sink leaked and flooded the shelf underneath.
The wireless internet did not work throughout out entire stay which was very difficult for us considering we were in a city we did not know for only 2 days. The location was not ideal- but at least close to metro. There was a school next to the building in which kids were screaming at early hrs in the morning in addition to a crane (literally) next to the apt window with construction starting in the AM. Overall it was not a great stay. The apt was very clean and comfortable as advertised, but for our short time in the city it was not an ideal location.
Martin's Apartment was ideal for exploring Berlin, both the East side which is very close, and the West which is easily accessible from the Ostbahnhof, a mere 10 minute walk away. Martin was kind enough to accommodate our request for a late check in, which really helped, and on arrival we found the apartment to be clean, uncluttered and well proportioned.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Martin and this apartment to anyone visiting Berlin.
We rented the apartment for 4 days. Ideally situated, clean, big and very clear. We went on foot in Alexanderplatz, in Eastside Gallery and in the other districts in feet without problem. Bus and subway near. I recommend this apartment in a very quiet district near a supermarket opened late.
The reservation was canceled 70 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Amazing location! Very central and clean nice apartment ! Enjoyed my stay!

I had a 5 night stay in this lovely apt. together with my wife. The flat is clean, minimalistic designed. The beds were comfortable and we slept very well. The kitchen has everything you need for some small cooking-action - the supermarket ist just 100m away! The apt. is incl. free WLAN, and an old but sufficient flat TV. I have nothing which I could complain about. If you are in Berlin for going to clubs and/or sightseeing in East-Berlin, than this apt. is just the right one, it's perfectly located! I think I'll book it again the next time I come to Berlin.
Had a great time in Martin's place! This is a cool apartment. Clean, roomy, quiet, warm and sunny. We had the flat to ourselves for four days. The little kitchen allowed us to have breakfast "at home". The flat is very well located, with public transport close. We walked (OK, maybe call it a hike) to Alexanderplatz, Brandenburger Tor and Reichstag. We did not actually meet Martin, but were well received by Anne, who takes care of the place. A definite recommendation for a multi-day stay in Berlin.
Martin is a lovely guy. He's got a really cool spot to stay in Berlin!
Martin is a good friend and I had the chance to see him as a host in his apartment in Basel, where I spent some time for art-related events in town. He really knows how to make you feel home and you'll enjoy his love for fanciness (art, fashion, lifestyle...in other words beauty).
I have know Martin for a few years and if you want anything about Berlin from Art to Architecture, Graphic to Design but also about the city itself. From leisure, eating, relaxing and going out, he will be able to help you know about without a problem, not just because he knows it but because he lives it.
I stayed in the flat a couple of times and the proximity to The Mother Club Berghain.
Berghain is a Berlin nightclub - (says Wikipedia) NO; Berghain it THE nightclub ;-) - named after its location near the border between KreuzBERG and FriedrichsHAIN.
You could make a trip to Berlin just to spend 2 days there, some parties last more than 24h. But if you want more, the really well decorated and confortable flat is a jump away from Mitte, Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain great borrow of the city.
Enjoy great Berlin, got to plan my next trip there really soon!
