My partner Philip - a retired lawyer, now a student studying philosophy and I are travelling to France, Ireland and the UK to visit friends and family. I work for the Australian Government in the area of regional engagement and have a keen interest in economic, social and environmental sustainability of regional communities.
Philip is interested in family history - paternal ancestors from Sudbury, UK and maternal ancestors from Limerick, Ireland. We are interested in travel, listening and learning about new cultures, practices and sharing and connecting our lives with people. We live in Canberra the capital of Australia, commonly known as the bush capital.
I have two sons - both adults - one lives in Bangkok with his partner and works in Laos and the other lives in Canberra and is studying languages at university.
I have travelled widely through Australia, NZ and Europe - mostly hostelling and (website hidden). I have loved most places I have been Istanbul, Morocco, France, Italy, Eastern Europe, UK and Ireland. I've also hosted many couchsurfers in my home here in Australia.
