I loved the cabin, especially the huge windows everywhere. It was very comfortable and had everything I needed. I was there for a personal retreat and appreciated the privacy and the nature setting. I spent a lot of time sitting on the deck listening to the creek and watching the birds. Very restful! I hope to return another time.
We really enjoyed our time at Sara's place! The location was very convenient to everything we wanted to visit but still far enough away for privacy. We felt right at home during the stay.
Sara's cabin was everything we expected from the listing and much more! We had everything we needed including the best location. We felt at home from the moment we arrived, and everything from the interior to the views of our surroundings was perfect! I've been raving about it to everyone asking about our trip :) We hope to return in the fall!
Please come back for the fall color , would love to host you again.
This review is difficult for me to write. There were positive and not-so-positive aspects of our stay at this home.
First of all everyone renting this home should know that the road to Blowing Rock is about 2 miles of gravel / dirt. Also the road to Appalachian Ski Mountain is gravel / dirt. I was glad we were in an SUV because I would not have wanted to drive these roads in our Prius.
The home itself was clean and had lots of great windows. However, the house also felt worn. The bathroom was very small. Overall, with all the other options in the area, I probably would not stay here again - especially at the current rate of $100 per night.
Sorry you did not like my place and I have no control of some of the area roads being dirt. You would miss some very beautiful mountain spots if you can't drive down a dirt road.
The cabin was wonderful and so was Sara. We immediately felt welcome and comfortable in Sara's cabin. It was a beautiful retreat in the snowy mountains. Our family of four enjoyed the weekend getaway and were especially happy that we were able to bring our furry kid along too! Thank you for having dog friendly accomodation. Nelson loved watching the wildlife through those amazing windows.
We had a great experience and Sara was very helpful and prompt with our questions. The birdseed that she left was great because the birds were so fun to watch. We had the perfect weather the days we were there with 7 inches of snow! It was perfect, warm and cozy! Easy access to the amazing restaurants in Blowing rock and not far from the mountains for snowboarding. All in all, a perfect little getaway place to take my wife.
Lovely place! Felt like we were staying in nature but also close to everything in both Boone and Blowing Rock.
My family and I had a wonderful experience staying at Sara's house in Blowing Rock. The location was nice, very close to both Boone and Blowing Rock. The house was cozy and very close to the surrounding nature outside. Would definitely recommend to friends!
This house was wonderful for a weekend getaway. It is extremely cute and relaxing. The host was easy to reach and get in touch with! There were instructions for everything necessary in the house and it is ten minutes from downtown, from skiing, etc. We loved staying there and would recommend it to other folks.
Our experience staying at Sara's cottage went smoothly. Everything was great -- very peaceful and beautiful!
Sara was an amazing guest. Very friendly, very personable. She communicated well . She was very clean and considerate of my home.
