Stephanie was wonderfully welcoming--comfortably casual. She invited us to use the kitchen or living room, provided toiletries as needed, and was warm and pleasant. Eliot the cat was hilarious--funny and quirky and very friendly. The room was homey and the location is quite excellent.
Stephanie's private room was exactly as described and was absolutely perfect for my one night in Oxford. It is located within walking distance from the train station and is located next to very cute pubs. I would recommend this listing to anyone looking for a clean and quiet place to stay close to downtown Oxford (walking distance). My only regret is that I could not stay longer.
As a host, Stephanie was absolutely lovely! My booking request was made last minute and her prompt response made my trip to Oxford feasible. She then went out of her way to meet up with me the next afternoon so I could drop my bags and explore the city.
Fabulous place. Fabulous host.
While Stephanie was out of town, her partner Cliff was able to be at the apartment to let me in. He was welcoming, and very helpful in orienting me to the apartment and the area. Got me a fan and basically helped me settle in as needed.
Our host made us feel very welcome, despite our having arrived much later than planned due to work. The study bedroom was as described, and is located in a quiet backstreet of Jericho, whilst still close enough to walk to the centre.
Easy-going hosts, even with our departure time, which again, was later than planned after a long evening at an Oxford summer ball. Tea and coffee were always available in the kitchen and we were free to come and go as we pleased without pressure.
I had a great stay. The room is very spacious and tidy. Stephanie and Cliff were great hosts. They were very friendly and helpful and let me feel like it was my home too. The location of the house is also very good so i would recommend this room to everyone. Thank you Stephanie!
We were made to feel very welcome and Stephanie was very accommodating, especially for a one night stay. On top of all this, the location is only a very short walk from the centre. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of visiting or staying in Oxford.
I was in Oxford for a 3-day conference in the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, and it would be hard to find a place more convenient than this. Stephanie was very welcoming, proactively texting me to make sure I knew how to get there from the station, and offering good advice on things to do in Oxford when I wasn't busy with the conference. The room was spacious and quiet, a good place to relax and decompress after a busy day, and the wifi worked well. Elliot the cat is very friendly (coming to bat at my shoelaces whenever I took my shoes off, and begging to sit in my lap when Stephanie wasn't home), though that may be a downside for people who don't like cats.
Everything was just as it was explained. The cat (Eliot) is simply wonderful!
Comfortable with lots of space! The cat was adorable, and we were perfectly located to wander around Oxford.
Stephanie's place was very nice. The room was huge and comfortable. The cat was super cute and sweet. Great location a short walk from the train station and town. She and Cliff were very friendly and welcoming. The wifi worked great.
Stephanie was a very clean, friendly and responsible guest. She is welcome to stay with us again anytime!
