I stayed with my boyfriend in Esra's flat during 1 week. It is a cosy place in the nice area of Cihangir, where you can find lot's of bars and restaurants. The appartment has a everything you need: a well-equiped kitchen, a spacious living room and bath room, plus a great terrace. The terrace is definitely a plus in the city! You can enjoy the sun the whole day. Only the bed is a not so big, which might be a problem if you have long leggs :). Overal: we really enjoyed our stay at Esra's place and I would definitely recommend it to everyone who is looking for a central, but relaxing place. Thanks Esra!
I would highly recommend this flat. We stayed here for a total of 10 days. The location is really excellent; most important it is a quick walk to Istiklal and a short walk to the tram stop (a steep uphill climb on the way back). The neighborhood has lots of cute shops and good restaurants. The flat itself is clean and a decent size; know that the bedroom doesn't have a separate door. It wasn't an issue for us but could be for some. The bedroom is also very small, but the living room is a good size. The bathroom did smell at times as some others commented, but I think that's to be expected from some older buildings. The terrace is very nice and has a nice view. For those light sleepers, the street was pretty quiet but the seagulls are very loud since its on the top floor and we had to keep the doors and windows open to keep the flat cool. We had some issues with the hot water, but Esra was quick to respond and fix it. There were some language issues, but they were fine in the end. The internet works great. It is on the top floor with lots of stairs, so its not recommended for people with mobility issues.
I stayed at Esra's flat in Istanbul for 4 nights and it was in a fantastic location, really cool area with lots of cafes. It is a casual 20 minute walk to Old Town, but you can also catch a tram if your legs are tired. The apartment itself is great, with the rooftop being the best part of it. Watching a sunset from the rooftop would almost have to be one of the highlights of my stay. Will recommend to others.
The flat of Esra was perfect for our 1 week stay in Istanbul. The apartment is located in a really nice and safe neighborhood. The terace is just fantastic! You can have breakfast with a beautiful view. Esra has been a perfect hostess. I can recommend her apartment for a stay in Istanbul.
The apartment of Esra was just perfect for our stay in Isranbul. Located in the coolest district of the city it is also in a quiet and safe neighbourhood.
Inside the apartment is clean, cite and the terace is fantastic with a beautiful view
Esra has been a perfect hostess
I deeply recommend her apartment
The flat is very nice, with good location. There are plenty of cafe where one can have meal, but no night clubs and traffic at night. \the only noisy creatures are seagulls. It is well equiped for cooking. The terrace is nice, unfortunately, the weather did not let us enjoy it every evening. The Tophane Tramstation and Taksim are in walking distance. The heating system, hot water, shower etc. available.
Esra is good host, she is ready to help, clearly explains how to get to the place. Once we had problem with internet, Esra reacted immediately and fixed it.
I should recommend Esra as a host and her flat as a place of residence in Istanbul.
We stayed 1 week in Istambul in march, first trip for my girlfriend and I, and Esra's flat was just perfect for both of us.
I didn't know at all the city and the neighborhood is just perfect. Very well located, in the modern Istanbul side, in a calm and cute area with many cool restaurants, bars and art gallery. Close to Taksim too (where you can get the metro and bus for the airport, 10 min walking).
The sunny terrasse is very cute and we enjoyed having breakfast on it!
Great terrace and location for sure. And Esra was very sweet and nice and gave us good recommendations around town. My reason for 3 stars are a few things that seemed to add up for us -- (1) the bathroom/shower was very small especially for tall guys like me. (2) some lights in the apartment were not working and so the whole place felt kinda dark. And, (3) it can get a little noisy if any window is open (if you close the windows it is too hot).
We stayed in Istanbul for 10 days; this apartment had all the facilities required and a great location, very close to Taksim/Istikal/Bosphorus/etc. The terrace was a great bonus, watching the sunset over Istanbul was lovely :) Esra was on holiday for our dates but still arranged everything and was available to talk as needed, with great instructions for the apartment and the nearby area. Overall, a great place to make your base in Istanbul.
We had a great stay at Esra's! The terrace is just perfect for a relaxed breakfast in the sun!
If you're looking for a place to stay, you should try Esra's. Her apartment is really comfortable, safe and clean. Neighbourhood is really nice, Cihangir is the gathering point for all kind of artists. And Esra, she's the most reliable , easygoing and interesting person İ've ever met. For me it's kinda hard to live together with someone else because i really hate mess and most of the time i start feeling awkward as i'm staying someone else's home, even if she/he is my friend. But Esra And her housemate Ayşegül makes me feel like i'm home.
Moreover you can easily reach most famous galleries, touristic places, entertainment spots and public transportation vehicles. You're gonna like this experience.
I shared the same flat and work office with Esra for 5 years. I can honestly say that she's a very kind, easy-going girl. I believe she's also a generous and helpful host. Her apartment is very well-located; close to all bars, restaurants, cafes, and historical monuments, art galleries, the subway and the buslines. I'd definitely recommend to everyone.
Esra is my good friend and one of the most reliable and resourceful people I know. She makes friends everwhere she goes and is endlessly exploring new places and hobbies.
At the same time, she's really tidy and there's no doubt her place will be super clean for your stay. Her neighborhood is great and walking distance to the great restaurants and bars. Really, you'll be doing yourself a favor to stay with Esra in Istanbul.
