Friendly, older, nonsmoking professional, upbeat but a bit on the private side. When traveling, I try to avoid hotels, preferring to explore places by staying in residential neighborhoods and chatting with my hosts and neighbors. I've had wonderful experiences through airbnb, and hope I can match the graciousness of some lovely hosts. I'm a distance runner, and would appreciate your help finding good routes around your home. And for you runners, cyclists and cross-country skiiers out there: I've got guidebooks and tips galore for you, just ask. I like to try out new restaurants, especially neighborhood places that are not especially glamorous, but where the food is good. I'll recommend my favorites when you stay at my place, and I hope you'll share yours, too. Finally, I work a lot. So I may not be around much during your stay, and when I'm traveling it may be that I just hole up in the cosy space you've provided and focus on getting my stuff done.
