The apartment was just what the pictures and description showed. It was fun to see Annemette's style and culture in her books and pictures, very cool. We had a very comfy and quiet stay and were pleasantly surprised by the number of nice restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. We recommend it to only the best of couples and will look forward to staying there again!
Annemette was a wonderful host and her apartment was even lovelier in person. It's on a very quiet courtyard in a lively neighborhood. We were within walking distance to some of the best restaurants in the city. There's no wifi, but Annemette has set up a guest account on her computer and it's easy to use. Don't be put off by the freestanding shower in the bathroom, the curtians transform it and the water pressure is excellent. I would definitely stay in this apartment the next time I'm in Copenhagen.
Nice place to stay! Annemette is a very friendly and helpful host. The place was clean and nice, we had a good time. I would recommend it to my friends.... .
This is probably the best apartment we have stayed in through airbnb - the kitchen is amazing with everything you could need to cook (loved the extra sharp knives and the Royal Denmark mugs/plates - we even bought some of our own!), the place is spacious and warm, and well equipped (also loved the stereo!). The flat is a 10 minute walk from the central station; the only slight downside to this is that close to the station is a bit seedy. The neighborhood around the flat is full of restaurants and cafes;
and there are 3 supermarkets nearby (Lidl on Vesterbrogade, one right at the top of Dannesbrogdade, and one on Halmvotoret).
Annemette was incredibly sweet and helpful, she really went the extra mile for us. We had a great time in Copenhagen - we only wish we had been able to visit in summer!
A few notes for winter in CPH - both the Our Saviours Church tower and Tivoli are closed until Easter. The DFDS canal tour is also nice even if its freezing if you stay outside to take photos. Make sure you pick up the free tourist map from the airport if you arrive that way, it's helpful for the city centre.
Annemette's apartment was everything we expected. The location is really good and the apartment is really nice. I would definitely recommend Annemette's apartment for every one.
The house is just lovely, very central, walking distance from the train station and near very nice restaurants and bars. Besides, Annemette is a wonderful host, carefully providing you all the little details you need to enjoy the most of your stay. It was a pleasure.
Annemette was a great host and communicated well with me before I arrived and during my stay in her garden apartment, on the ground floor.
The 3- room apartment (plus toilet/shower room), furnished in contemporary style, was clean and tidy when I arrived. I loved the tall windows that let in natural light and only wish I could stay there during Spring or Summer when the garden must be lovely. The kitchen has enough cooking ware to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner, if desired. The bed is comfortable.
It's easy to walk to the Old Town, Tivoli and the central Kobenhavn Train Station.
Because I'm allergic to smoke, I made sure this was a non-smoking apartment and my host does not smoke. Unfortunately, someone else in the building is a heavy smoker and somehow the smoke gets into the kitchen. The problem is resolved by opening the great windows and keeping the door between the kitchen and living room/dining area closed.
There is no clothes washer or dishwasher, which was not a problem for me. For Americans used to bathtub or shower stall, they might be surprised by the typical Danish shower--just step into the bathroom, pull the curtains around you to protect the toilet, sink and door, and turn on the shower. The shower in this apartment is great--enough warm water and water pressure.
I would recommend this place and my hostess!
I met a friend of mine from spain in Copenhagen.
Annemette was waiting for us, really welcoming.
She help us with some advices about the city and we find a very nice apartment.
i can recommand the place without hesitation !!
We had a fantastic stay in Annemette's lovely apartment. She was very helpful in answering all of our questions for our first visit to Copenhagen. It's about a 15 minute walk from the center of town but in a great neighborhood with lots of good cafes, bars and restaurants. We weren't sure about the neighborhood at first, but now we know that Vesterbro is the place to be and we'd definitely recommend it!
My friend Chris is looking after my place and Annemette and her friend were the favourites because of their positive attitude and joy to have around. My flat was left very clean and they overall opinion was they were good to have around.
