If you are looking to stay in New Orleans, this is a great place! It is a small apartment/hotel in the Central Business District. There is a full/queen sized bed, cable television, a sofa, a small kitchen, and a bathroom. It is very private and wonderfully priced! We didn't spend much time in the room, but when we did, we enjoyed it. Plus, Merlin, the apartment manager, was wonderful! He kept open communication with us. Also, he gifted us with free parking! Amazing!
Another bonus, this room was centrally located. It's two blocks from Bourbon Street. We literally walked everywhere. If you don't want to walk, the trolley is a block away. Also, New Orleans has Uber. There is no need to take your car anywhere. (Just keep your car in the free zone!)
Overall, we loved our stay! Merlin was wonderful! We would return again. You can't beat the price or the location. This place is a hidden gem in the city!
Thank You for staying with us!!!! Glad you loved our city!!!!
You can't find a better New Orleans location at this price. It's centrally located, near streetcar lines and most attractions. Merlin, who manages the property, met me on the street, so I wouldn't miss it. I felt like I was meeting a friend. He gave me excellent advice on where to go, where to eat and how to get around the city. Merlin lives in the building and is available. The building is like a small apartment building and I felt like I had my own studio for the weekend. As I mentioned, this is a great location and price.
Pros: price, location and super helpful and friendly Merlin (building manager)
Cons: Room without a window which made it warm and stuffy when the a/c was not running (there is no control for a/c in the room so I'm assuming it's a central a/c). Neighbor next door is quite loud and was listening to music and TV late at night. Someone in the building was smoking and we could smell it in our room. Carpet was not vacuumed and bathroom could use more cleaning. For ladies - there is no hair dryer. No closet or rack to hang clothes. Very squeaky bed, otherwise comfortable.
The host was a kind man who met my cab at 1:00 and later texted to ask how I was doing. He lives in one of the apartments in the building.
The place was great! Great location, Merlin was very friendly and helpful! Would definitely stay here again.
The host (Merlin) was amazing. He was very available, accommodating and friendly.
We were greeted by the building manager Melvin, and I have to say he is an amazing individual. He made sure we felt right at home and really took care of us. He made sure we were happy from start to finish. I would highly recommend this location. Everything we needed was there. Our own private bathroom, kitchen, and a comfortable bed, oh and they even had Direct TV (I was able to watch the walking dead.) This location is walking distance to the French Quarter and Bourbon Street.
The on-site property manager, Merlin, was amazing! Not only was he awake to greet us at midnight, he also drove to FedEx to pick up a package for us! He definitely made our stay more enjoyable and less stressful. The room itself was nice. The only downside was the lack of a window, but everything was great.
Great spot, superb location near quarter and the super dome but nestled among the hotels. Condition generally as advertised and totally fine, though a new shower head would go miles to improving the shower. Host, Merlin, was extremely communicative and helpful. Recommended.
Merlin was fantastic. He welcomed us so warmly and was very helpful explaining the surrounding neighborhood to us. He was also very helpful in making sure our departure went smoothly. The apartment we had was very spacious and worked out well for my friend and I, who were staying. There weren't any windows, but we were really only there to sleep so it didn't bother us. It was very easy to walk to the French Quarter from the apartment. I'd definitely stay there again in the future.
