I'm a published poet, artist, translator, and professor from New York, now living and teaching in Chicago. I have traveled all over and lived in Asia, Europe, and around the US, with long periods in California, Japan, and various parts of Italy, my second home. I speak Italian and English fluently and I used to speak excellent Japanese. I have also studied Brazilian Portuguese and French.
I'm a vegetarian and I don't wear shoes in the house. I'm quiet but fun-loving. I'm very clean, responsible, respectful of the space of others. I have friends everywhere, but if I'm traveling with AirBnB, it's because I don't want to impose on my friends this trip around. I have had others stay in my home when I'm away, so I know what it's like to be anxious about strangers inhabiting your space--but I've always had excellent experiences, and I like to think that the warmth of my own home is a sort of inspiration. I've really enjoyed getting to know other people through AirBnB.
