Peter and his wife,Gaby arrived to stay with us on Easter Sunday. They had come to Dublin primarily to visit their daughter who is living in Dublin at the moment. And also to see some more of Dublin and the surrounding area. They have visited Ireland many times, but are not as familiar with Dublin.
From the time I collected them from the airport, I knew we would get on, I felt there was an instant rapport. They are the most lovely, friendly and appreciative people. On Easter Monday after they had finished their breakfast, and left for the day, I discovered several little chocolate treats, hidden around the sitting room . I thought it was so nice.
John and I recommended some good restaurants locally, and they tried several, and thoroughly enjoyed them .We also gave some insight into interesting places to visit with their daughter. Last Friday was my birthday, and my husband John told them the night before, and when they came down for breakfast the sang Happy Birthday, and both gave me a little gift. I was a little taken aback, but also delighted. They insisted that I didn't do their room as it was my birthday, so sweet. John and I were sorry to see Peter and Gaby leave, they had arrIved as strangers, but we felt they left as friends.
We would be really delighted if they decided to return and stay with us, they were the most pleasant guests, and we highly recommend them to hosts anywhere in the world. Good luck to you (website hidden) the future. All the best. Anne
