I am a college professor. I have lived in the neighborhood since the summer of 2010. I did not own a car for almost two years, and I got around just fine. I love the neighborhood!

I had a delightful visit in New Orleans and that was due to Brenda's amazing hospitality as much as the city's vibrance. The house is a clean and beautifully decorated classic New Orleans house (which adds to the feeling of living in New Orleans compared to a same old hotel). But more importantly Brenda is a fantastic host who made sure I was made to feel at home from the moment I arrived.
I enjoyed my trip to New Orleans although it was a busy business one. So I am thinking of visiting again with my fiance for some holidays. I will be emailing Brenda then to see if she has that room available before I look somewhere else.
The house is charming, and Brenda is a lovely hostess. Bonus points for also being a great dog-sitter! The pooch and I both had a wonderful holiday!
Brenda is a kind and generous host with a wonderful home. Highly recommended!
Brenda is a great host and her home is just like a home away from home with all the ammenities and comforts anyone would need.
We enjoyed staying in a lovely quiet neighborhood, close to public transportation, parks, and shops, right next door to a bakery, and not far by bus or streetcar to the French quarter and other attratctions.
Brenda left bus schedules and lots of information about things to do in New Orleans for us and offered lots of useful tips and suggestions. She left treats for breakfast, and we could prepare our own food as we liked. The bed was very comfortable too.
She was out of town for the majority of our stay, but during our first evening there we enjoyed getting to know her a bit and hearing about her new life in New Orleans. We would be happy to stay with her again if we ever get back NOLA and would highly recommend her home to other airbnb guests.
Thanks so much, Brenda, we had a great time!
Brenda's home is as extremely accommodating as this wonderful host! She went well beyond the call of duty to ensure that I was comfortable and I had everything I needed to make my stay in New Orleans incredible!
I came to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and to hang out with friends I haven't seen in forever. The most memorable part of the trip was sitting and talking to Brenda! She is a wonderful, intelligent person who made me feel that she genuinely wanted me to have fun.
The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The location was perfect... not on the main parade route but close enough to walk. Close to quaint little shops and bakeries, you will definitely find something to do when you need a break from the Quarter. Brenda ensured I had all of the necessities and threw in a few extras. Fresh, hot coffee awaited me in the morning as well as a slice of delicious King Cake!
I will definitely stay here again if I'm ever in NOLA. Brenda personifies the concept of AirBnB in every way. Her easy going demeanor and amazing hospitality made this trip AWESOME!!!
Brenda's home is lovely, and we felt very welcomed there (she set out sweets for us, and treats for my dog). The neighborhood is great, she lives on a quiet block, yet within walking distance of some great restaurants and parks. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Brenda was a pleasure to host. Great communicator. 5 stars.
Brenda was a very kind guest and was very flexible on check in and was VERY patient when Jessi forgot the key (Oops, but we got it within 15 minutes) We would HIGHLY recommend her as she was extremely clean, quiet, and definitely awesome person. We would definitely have her again here!
Brenda was a great guest! She is very neat and quiet as well. Very nice to have hosted her here in Washington.
