About Me
Hey, I'm Brian!
native of Louisiana-USA , residing in Houston, Texas, United States · Member since October 2011

Quick version: I love traveling, hiking, LEARNING, cultures, food, people, LEARNING and creative things. Yes, I know I said LEARNING twice :-) As I engage the wonderful things of life, I seek to leave places better than I found them. My perspective: Life is good and sometimes great, and traveling and learning new cultures, while meeting people all over the globe is definitely one of the great parts!

Expanded version: I am an adventurer/creative type who, until recently, was a "rocket scientist" (worked at the Johnson Space Center until 2011). I spent a one-year sabbatical "giving back" via several fulfilling volunteer opportunities, and of course traveled my booty off.

My goal when leaving NASA was to LEARN more about the world and myself, and to find a calling instead of a career. I was blessed to work on many international and "out-of-this-world" projects with folks from all 50 states, many Europeans, Russians, and Astronauts/Cosmonauts, etc,,,,but that chapter in my grand adventure is now over. My adventures now are of this wonderful world, including volunteering, traveling and entrepreneurship.

I grew up dreaming of adventures as a kid in South Louisiana-USA. In or around the 5th grade, I made it a goal to circumnavigate the globe. I lived that dream in the Fall of 2011. The 5-continent, 11- country adventure really advanced my knowledge as I learned from amazing people and cultures all over the world in a 48-day world-wind adventure.

Places traveled on 6 continents include: Moscow, Rome, Venice, Florence, Milan, Paris, Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Paris, London, Singapore, Shanghai, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Athens, CapeTown, Johannesburg, Kuala Lumpur, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Christchurch, Queenstown, Auckland, Honolulu, Anchorage, Puerto Rico, St Martin, Aruba, Cancun and Vancouver ...& more to come...

In 2012, I utilized to stage my US Mountain states trip in spring time 2012 - Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Montana & Wyoming, and then in August/Sept to Anchorage, Seattle, Denver, ND/SD and Minneapolis. I NOW HAVE BEEN TO ALL 50 STATES - another 5th grade dream accomplished - with 6 continents visited, so it is a matter of time till Antarctica and Continent 7 to meet the other part of the 5th grade dream!

Currently, I am the owner-director for a Brain Training Center, which identifies and targets cognitive skills weaknesses, and then provides brain training to transform a person's learning and performing capabilities. CHANGING LIVES is AWESOME!

And I am always looking for an excuse for more travel :-)
