John is retired professor of Languages and Linguistics at Cornell University, where he taught Tagalog, Cebuano and Bahasa Indonesia. His latest tome, Proto-Austronesian Phonology with Glossary, was published last year. Ida just recently retired from her psychotherapy practice, where she specialized in EMDR. She is currently working on a collection of short stories, loosely based on her experience growing up in the Philippines.
Since 2010 we've tried to spend part of every year in Padova, Italy. What a wonderful spot in the Veneto, learning Italian, loving life!
The update for March, 2013 is that we had a wonderful trip to Cebu City, Philippines, where we celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary with family and friends. What an incredible and radiant experience!
