The apartment is just lovely, Kris is an awesome host. For sure one of the best place to stay in Brooklyn.
My friends and I had a wonderful stay at Kris and Dominique's apartment! It's a beautiful and restful place to head after long days of exploring NY and it's located in a nice quiet neighborhood. Summer guests should note there is no a/c, but it was still comfortable in the evenings with a fan.
Hi Elizabeth, great having you. Sorry about the a/c - actually we do have it, i just hadn't brought it up from downstairs yet as it has been a stuttering start to summer and we hadn't needed it yet. But this weekend was warm, so tonight it goes in!
The flat was exactly where we wanted to be in Brooklyn. Convenient to everything. It is lovely and tidy and Kris was very easy to communicate with. We are looking forward to another visit soon!
We've enjoyed a lot our stay at Kris's flat! The location is very good in a charming neighborhood of Greenpoint. The flat and the building are unpretentious and very cozy. The flat was very well equipped and Kris left us good instructions and recommendations. We didn't get to know Kris but the communication with him was easy and kind, also his friend and neighborhood dropped by to offer any help that we might need. All in all we had a very good experience and fully recommend Kris apartment :)
We had a great few days at Kris' place! There was 3 of us in total, plenty of space and the apartment was really nicely furnished, clean and tidy. The bedroom in particular was very big for New York! Really nice, safe area too. Polish community with a lot of great little bakeries (Peter Pan on Manhattan Ave is definitely worth a visit) and bars (Keg And Lantern on Nassau Ave is great if you're into your sports!), a short walk to Nassau Ave subway or a slightly longer one for Bedford Ave. Kris and Dominique were in contact throughout to ensure we had everything we needed, and their neighbour called round to check too. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Kris, Dominique and Marlow were great guests. They have a very relaxed attitude so it was just like having old friends to stay! I would highly recommend them to other hosts.
Excellent. Lovely couple with the cutest little boy! Very organized and left the house spotless! We hope very much to see them again some other time!
Kris is super rad! He stayed with us to surf Bertha for a couple nights and is just a stellar guy- super fun and friendly, got along great with the other guests and is of course tidy and took great care of the place. Love to have him back any time and definitely recommend to other hosts :)
Kris was easygoing, friendly and generally a pleasure to work with.
Kris, Dave and Chase enjoyed having you as their guest and hope that you come back again. Maybe next time I will get to meet you. Thank you for staying at the Sun House.
Kris arrived for his stay while i was away for thanks giving vacation. I returned two days before Kris's departure. Although there was an incident where Kris was locked out of the apartment on his second night I was able to accommodate Kris at another apartment i have next to Central Park within less then an hour of hearing from Kris while still in Florida for thanks giving vacation. The next day i called Kris to apologize also offering him his money back for the night he was locked out and for money he spent for travel and phone costs. The following day i received messages from Kris via Skype, by email and airbnb where Kris asked for his money back for the night and reimbursement for money spent for the cab and phone costs. I was very confused because i had already spoken to Kris about giving him his money back the day before. I called Kris shortly after receiving the messages to ask about the several copied and pasted repeat messages and his response was somewhat vague. He said he wasn't sure that we resolved everything. I thought that was very weird. I made attempts to meet with Kris to speak regarding the incident where he was locked out of the apartment the second night of his stay when i returned. I called and sent text messages but i only received a text the day before his check-out saying "See you when we cross paths". I was under the impression he was avoiding meeting with me. I awoke early and I was able to meet with Kris the last day of his stay. I helped Kris carry his bags to the subway and even offered to buy him coffee the day of his check-out. Once again i do apologize for the inconvenience with being locked out the second night of your stay. Overall Kris seemed friendly.
Wonderful experience. Kris stayed here with his wife for two weeks and it was a really pleasant time. Very friendly and interesting people, good communicators and considerate, all the way.
it was great to host Kris at the loft. Kris is a very interesting person, very easy to communicate and always smiling. Very quickly we had the feeling that Kris is an old friend. Kris was very respectful of the space and the rules of the loft. I will host Kris with pleasure as soon as he comes back to NY. I really recommend Kris as a guest.
