28 yeas old girl from Iceland with bachelor degree in business. Very friendly and helpful ;)
very central appartement. unfortunately there was a building site next to the appartement and the working started very early and was loud. the tv was not working with no chance of getting help.
We stayed here for 4 nights earlier this month (Feb '14) and had no problems at all. The location is great, it is a nice apartment and perfect for a short break in Reykjavik. We didn't hear any building noise. We would agree with the comment to get the transfer bus from the airport to save the walk up the hill! Overall a great trip and a nice place to stay.
Stayed here last week for 4 nights, the location really is great, definitely recommend it for a trip to Iceland for a few days. Get the transfer bus from the airport as it's a bit of an uphill walk from the bus station :)
We just finished an amazing 5 day stay in Iceland at Margrets place. The apartment is located right in the centre of Reykjavik and everything is within a 5 min walk. It made a nice change to have the relaxed atmosphere of our own apartment whilst on holiday. Margret was an exceptional host and responded to all of our questions extremely quickly. Be sure to stay here! Thanks Margret
What a great two bed apartment in a fantastic location only 3 mins walk to the main church and 3 mins to the heart of town with shops and bars
If location was the only criteria this place would get an 11 rating. It is a nice apartment in the center of the best shopping area. The bathroom and kitchen are not the best.
Great apartment, great location. Easy to find and handy for all main attractions. We had a brilliant stay in Margret's apartment.
We just came back from a great week in Iceland thanks to this apartment. I loved the private entrance and the location. Parking was easy to find either right our front or on a side street and both taxi's and our tour guides were able to easily find it for pick up. It was perfect for two couples - the bedrooms are not too close together and there is just enough room. Some great restaurants and a grocery store are within a block away. The shopping streets are close by too. It was clean but also had some extras that you need if you want to cook a meal - like coffee, salt, pepper, sugar, olive oil etc. We liked that it was very flexible for getting and leaving the key in a lock box - no need to meet up with anyone for check in and check out. Also - for us early check in was not a problem. I only wish I had emailed earlier for the code because I had to call the host to get it when we arrived. Overall a great experience. If all you need is a place to sleep, shower, eat breakfast and wind down after a long day of tourism and shopping - - this is definitely the place to stay. Also - I checked the price of the Hotel Luna across the street and space for four people would have cost us almost DOUBLE what this apartment cost - and you would not have a street level private entrance. I can't recommend this place enough. FYI - my restaurant recommendations for dinner within a block SNAPS or 3 Frakkar (we didn't get in but heard great things…make a reservation) and for lunch don't miss Cafe Loki for Icelandic food.
This apartment is perfectly located and was more than enough for 4 people ! We had an unforgettable time in Iceland and we strongly recommend Margret's flat !
Margret and Sigmar are a very nice and young couple. The commmunication has been good since the beginning and i happily advised them about my favourites place in BCN. They are polite and easy going people an i recommend them as guests to ant other host. Thank you guys!!!!
Wonderful engaged couple, Margrét and Sigmar! Beautiful, full of life, respectful, highly recommendable guests.
I and Margret are colleagues and she is such a positive and helpful person and I have heard stories about how she goes the extra mile for her guests. I would defiantly recommend her and her boyfriend Sigmar as hosts. They now have two apartments so you can choose if you would like to be downtown which is not even 5 minutes walk from all restaurants, stores and attractions or in a little bit quieter area which is close to downtown. They both have really high standards and which is important in a great host. I highly recommend their apartment if you are planning a stay in Reykjavik :)
Margret and Sigmar are the greatest hosts ever. They are very nice and are always ready to help you out. Their apartment is very clean and comfortable and most of all it is situated downtown near all the main attractions. If you are planning to stay in Reykjavík you could not get a better apartment for your vacation.
From the bottom of my heart I can assure every candidate, seeking for a rental-apartment in Reykjavik that this flat is one spectacular. With an amazing view over the city, the perfect walking distance to central Reykjavik and overall well kept and in good condition. I rented it myself for three months and I can guarantee good quality. If you are in need of anything, Margret and Simmi are the most willing people to help you with anything you need and most important at all, they are good friends you can rely on.
Margret and Sigmar are great friends of ours for many years, they are very friendly, outgoing and reliable people. If you want great host that are people that are able to tell you wat is going on in the capital around Iceland, they always know whats happening and what is fun! The apartment they have is incredibly cozy and nestled in a great neighbourhood right in the center of town. It is a few minutes from all the best restaurants, bars, and most of the best shopping. I can without a doubt highly recommend this to anyone visiting Iceland :)
Margret and her boyfriend Sigmar are great people. Their apartment is beautiful and very centrally located, with just a few minutes walk to all the main attractions of Reykjavik central area. I have been a host on Airbnb for a long time and know that Margret and Sigmar will prove to be great hosts because of their helpful and nice nature. I highly recommend their apartment if you are planning a stay in Reykjavik.
I'm good friends with Margrét and can honestly say she is one of the nicest person you'll ever meet, reliable and always ready to help you out. Their apartment is just 10 minutes walk away from the downtown area and close to one of the shopping malls. The apartment is beautiful with a nice living space and big balconies with a great view.
