UPDATE - I moved back to Oregon to help care for my elderly parents in 2012. Someday, I'll return to Tamarindo full time... meanwhile, I'll visit as often as I can and will use other amazing airbnb hosts whenever possible. Thanks for opening your homes to travelers - I loved doing it, and I hope you do too!
I should have been a mermaid, but instead I'm the happy hostess of a small beachfront Bed and Breakfast (well, Bed-n-Kitchen) in Tamarindo. I transplanted myself from Oregon to Tamarindo nearly four years ago for the love of the wonderful people and the beach lifestyle and I couldn't be happier. I love living in this culture, learning the language and customs. Because Tamarindo is such a popular vacation destination, I also get to meet great people such as yourself from all over the world. I love that part too!
I'm a people person. I come from a big family; lots of brothers and sisters, cousins, aunts and uncles. I have a grown son who visits frequently; I love when we get to surf together! I love pets, but don't have any right now. I might get one soon...
I enjoy meeting new people and making new friends, surfing, taking guests to Witch's Rock and Ollie's Point, walking on the beach, sunrises and sunsets, and being on the water as often as possible. In the evenings, I usually read or watch a movie (any genre except horror). I also enjoy discussing pretty much anything except organized religion.
I have lots of contacts in town and the surrounding area and can help you find whatever fun you're looking for; there are so many activities to enjoy around here you'll be thankful to have my comfortable home at your disposal during your rests!
