I am a graduate student at the University of Texas Austin in the department of Audiology.
Great little quiet apartment. The space was very nice and dark in the mornings and the internet was good. Only unfortunate thing was that my Sprint cell service was non existent inside the apartment.
The reservation was canceled 104 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Very nice little efficiency with a wonderful full bed! Great quiet place to get a good nights rest.
Lauras place was very clean and cute!
It was easy to arrange everything, since Laura was quick with replies and very helpful.
I would definitely recommend her place to others! And she even left her bike free for use for the week!
Clean and vibrant studio. Great for a weekend stay. Laura was so accommodating even though we booked on the same day. She was alway very responsive via texts and calls. Lots of food trucks just right down the road
Laura's unit was pretty good and she was helpful.
The unit is a bit dark but if you need a place to stay on a budget this will suit you quite well.
The location is decent and if you have a car there is free parking at the time of our stay. (nov 2012)
First, I booked fairly last minute and Laura made the time and space for me at her apartment. It's a perfect space for the person looking for a quiet place after a day full of exploring Austin. It is fairly easy to walk to campus (there are sidewalks) and downtown, but even for those not down for a walk, there's a bus stop a block away that heads downtown and a stop right outside the apartment for the return. So it's pretty easy to get around. Laura was more than helpful. Though we never met, we were in contact via text and she always offered to answer questions or help and was super hospitable.
Laura's place is the perfect home base for staying in Austin, with easy public transportation to wherever you might need to go. Small in size, but big in bold colors, this apt is minutes away from the hippest part of town... the Eastside. After enjoying a night on the town, you've got an easy walk to the iconic El Chilito for one of the best breakfast tacos in town. I say try the horchata too.
What can I say, Laura is one the coolest people I know. A world traveling multi-lingual super smart cookie, she's a great resource for what's happening in Austin. No doubt she's a great host and guest. She'll go above and beyond to make your stay great.
