Hello everyone! I look forward to introducing you to my beautiful city of Hangzhou. See ya soon
Its basically a service apartment business. Nothing to be with Airbnb concept. She moved me to another location 2km from original place...
She is an awesome host... Very kind and helpful.. The apartment is very clean and nice ... She even made Chinese tea for is and guided us where to go and what to see ... I strongly recommend her place and she is an excellent host.
The apartment is nice and the area is calm. Downstairs there is a market and in front of the building a nice coffee place.
It is a little bit far from the city center. So you have to consider if this is ok for you. You Zhen is a nice and helpful person.
Like on of the precious host I have to be creative to hang my clothes to dry.
Not a bad place to stay. However, YouZhen runs an apartment hotel business and the apartment we stayed in was not as pictured here though it had the same facilities. So, if you're looking for a more familiar 'airbnb experience', this may not be the place for you.
The apartment is advertised as having two bedrooms but in reality, it has 1 bedroom and 1 living room (that could house someone for a few evenings but not as comfortably). The English part of the address listed is wrong so I had a little trouble finding the place but Youzhen was quite helpful and willing to wait for us. She was also somewhat flexible with the checkout time, which was good.
All in all, I wish the host could have been more honest upfront about the whole situation (i.e. the apartment you're staying in may not be the apartment pictured although it will 'probably' have the same configuration), but I would not have any problems staying here again if I return to Hangzhou.
Also, coming from Shanghai, I was aware of this but foreign travelers may not appreciate this fact: All the "city pictures" in the listing are sites in Shanghai, not Hangzhou, though the listing makes no mention of this. Most people go to Hangzhou for the Hangzhou experience, not for the "near Shanghai" experience, so I think it would make this listing better if the host would emphasize Hangzhou more than Shanghai :)
Staying with You Zhen was a great experience. She was very helpful with helping me get around. I had some trouble the night I got in and the taxi driver couldn't find the apartment, but she was great helping him out over the phone. She helped me out with directions to places I wanted to go, and one day helped hire me a driver for the day.
The apartment was very clean. It seemed like it was new or work had been done to it. There is a washer, it's a bit old, but it works great. I did wish I had something to hang my clothes on to dry, though (I had to get creative). The apartment is a bit out of the way, so that can be an inconvenience to some people.
Overall, a nice stay.
The place is very good but it is not perfectly located.
I stayed in Bin Jiang for 5 months. You Zhen was a good host and helped me out with a few small problems. Every time I text messaged her with a question I got a response fairly quickly.
This was a great apartment to stay in for our trip to Hangzhou. There is a lovely green courtyard just outside the window. The customer service was great. The room was not set up for wireless internet, but when we requested it, she sent a tech down to get everything set up for our stay. The room was cozy, clean, and well decorated. There's a small grocery store on thr first floor that came in handy for picking up snacks and items that we forgot to pack. Definitely would stay here again!
Everything was alright! :-)
If you want to rent the same apartment, you may need to bring your own plates/cups etc. if you want to cook. There is automatic table to mahjong, so Chinese will be definitely satisfied ;-) In winter time it may be a bit cold, as there is ony AC and no central heating.
This was a wonderful experience! I had trouble finding the right spot for 4 of us in Hangzhou, but Youzhen was very helpful and allowed us to add an extra bed for a small fee and provided bedding on the large bay window for my 19 year old son, so four of us could stay together. The space was immaculately clean. The kitchen and washing facilities were as described (no dryer, provide your own soap). There was a convenience store right downstairs with EVERYTHING one could possibly need. The wireless didn't work for this room at first but Youzhen got it promptly fixed. I have stayed at several airbnb places but Youzhen was the VERY best host; we really appreciated her hospitality and helpfulness. (However, her English is limited so if you don't speak Chinese at all you may wish to bring a dictionary.). The site is not right next to Hangzhou's downtown (and no subway for a few years) but she might be able to help with a private car or bus info. Lovely spot. We'd stay there again!
