Dos Palmas and Matapolo are a MUST SEE. Without it your Costa Rica visit will not be complete!
We arrived late afternoon after A LOT of driving and were concerned that maybe we were staying too far outside of Manuel Antonio. When we parked and wearily walked directly onto the Playa Matapolo beach it felt like something out of movie. A private beach with the sunset and Rachel and Adam to greet us. It was perfect. We jumped right into the water (the warmest we had been in all trip) and enjoyed some drinks while watching the beautiful sunset.
The beach and town are so beautiful it felt like we were discovering a little secret. All the locals and the other international travelers we met here were warm and welcoming. We enjoyed plenty of time in Manuel Antonio and the surrounding areas but we felt like we were racing back each day to get to our vacation home Dos Palmas.
Breakfast was great, our suite was perfect, comfortable bed, cold refrigerator ready upon arrival, great shower, all of the comforts a traveler desires. Dos Palmas if perfect for those looking for a private, intimate experience, but can easily accommodate families and more social travelers.
I hope everyone can be as lucky as we were to have found Dos Palmas, Adam and Rachel, and Matapolo. I hope they will fall in love with Costa Rica as much as we did.

Two friends and I were passing through the area, and decided to book at Dos Palmas a few days before our stay. Rachel was very accommodating, quick to reply, and even gave us very helpful directions from where we were coming from! Upon our arrival, we were greeted by their friendly, lovable dog Osa and we had a great few days, relaxing on the beach, chatting over fresh breakfast each morning, and enjoying a potluck dinner with Rachel and other folks staying nearby.
Unfortunately, the Wifi was out for our whole stay, but thankfully, Rachel was able to help us find Wifi nearby! We loved connecting with Rachel and recommend her cabina for a wonderful on-the-beach experience.
