I would like to leave a fair review but I also want to outline some of the problems that we encountered with this place. Let me begin by saying that we were Dylan’s first guests, and that he had recently moved in himself, and he very well may improve the conditions for future guests. Also, though we never met Dylan during our stay, we did meet his parents, and they were nice enough to bring some of the things that were not in the house, like bowls and silverware. I would like to start with the listing, which does not necessarily well reflect the condition of the rental. The house is listed as “four bedroom” but this is a somewhat subjective claim. I would say that it is really a two bedroom. One of the “bedrooms” is actually a kitchen, with no door separating it from the hallway. I believe that the other “bedroom” was probably considered in the review to be the dining room, which currently has a large desk in it. There are no doors for privacy here either. For anyone interested in a bedroom in the traditional sense, the place is a two bedroom. The place is described as “fully furnished” but really only the living room and one bedroom are furnished—there is no oven, no dining room table, and there is one bed, and while we were given two air mattresses, only one of them held air and we had to get another one from some relatives nearby. The living room is charming with lots of beautiful old wood fixtures, molding and in-laid cabinetry. I would imagine that the house is quite old, maybe 100 years, which is great for me –I like old homes. There is also a lovely view of the capital building out the front window. The house is listed as a “two level unit” which makes it seem like you have the whole house, but you really only have the upstairs. It is a duplex. The listing said there was “free internet” but there was no information provided about it. I have stayed in several AirBnBs in the past, and there is usually some sort of book or sheet with information about how to lock the door, where to put trash, how to check in/out and wireless information. The good ones even include some local information like bus lines, etc. I did text Dylan for the internet information and he quickly responded with the password, but the wireless was exceedingly slow and never really worked on any of our devices for our entire stay. The listing also included “parking on premises,” which was actually a main selling point for us, but when we arrived we were told that we could not park in the driveway, and we had to do so on the street. There was no problem with the heat; we were plenty warm in the winter, so that was good. I was a little worried about the door situation as...
Nice person! Clean!!
I wasn't home in the period that Dylan lived here, only met him shortly before I took off. He was very quiet and that's what my roomie said as well. I could see that he has been in my private shelves, which I think is a bit uncomfortable.
Dylan was an uncomplicated and polite guest.
Dylan останавливался у меня на несколько дней, приветливый молодой парень, квартиру оставил в хорошем состоянии - нет никаких претензий к нему. Буду рад снова видеть
