I'm originally from Apex, NC but have lived in Asheville, NC and Greenville, SC, prior to moving to Charleston in 2005. I am a meteorologist with the National Weather Service by profession, but also stay quite active in the local community through volunteering and non-profit organizations.
Environmental sustainability has always been my passion as you'll see in my home. In addition to all of the day-to-day actions, my larger accomplishments were having a solar water heater installed in 2010 and 9 photovoltaic panels installed in 2013. I'm now generating about 80% of my annual energy needs via the sun.
The Charleston area is a fantastic place to live and visit, yet I feel the lodging options are entirely too expensive. Thus, I love being able to offer a comfortable alternative to the hotels at a fraction of the cost while also getting to meet lots of amazing people in the process. I make a concerted effort to keep my calendar up to date and confirm reservations quickly, so feel free to just reserve the room if it's available. But if you have any questions about my place or the surrounding area, you're welcome to just drop me a line beforehand.
