Local attorney who loves her home!
This was such an amazing experience staying at this adorable apartment! It was the perfect size for a weekend getaway. Emily was super nice and even left chocolates for us! I would defiantly come back again :)
What a great stay we had in NOLA! Emily's aparment was great-- Walking distance to everything, very cute and offered plenty of space. I would definitely stay here on my next trip to New Orleans.
Emily was easy to get in touch with and offered a ton of recommendations!
My girlfriend and I had a great experience staying at Emily's apartment this January. The apartment is large, very clean, and well decorated. Fun porch area to sit outside and have a drink. Big picnic style table inside to eat or work at. Washer/Dryer in the apartment is very convenient. Quick walk to the French Quarter. The only caveats are for the late sleeper or light sleeper: you will get some sirens through the night (proximity to the hospital) and the windows that let in great light during the day may be what wakes you in the morning. If these things are not an issue for you, then you'll have a great experience in this apartment. Emily was friendly and responsive. Thanks so much for the great stay, Emily!
Emily's charming apartment was perfect for my too-brief first visit to New Orleans. The place was both stylish and cozy, with cool furnishings and quality amenities. Finding the place was easy arriving via highway, and as one who prefers to explore by foot I just left my car parked close by, finding sightseeing very easy and convenient, hitting the classic touristy sights/sites. Emily was a great host and accessible for any questions (though I didn't really need to get in touch). Would recommend her place without hesitation.
This is a beautiful apartment, Emily has decorated the place in a such a way that it has a laid back, bohemian vibe. It is a spacious unit on the 2nd floor of a historic building. The bedroom is separated from the living/kitchen area by a door. You will love this space, it is clean and has all the amenities you need. Just outside her apartment, there are Canal St trams that'll take you to the French Quarter.
While I didn't get to meet Emily, communication with her was prompt and she also left some local beer in the fridge for us!
It is very near the Superdome, Tulane hospital and a firestation. For those who are light sleepers, this may be in issue, as the emergency vehicles (ambulance/firetrucks) do sound their sirens at all times of the day.
I am from New Orleans and I can say without a doubt that this place is a perfect vacation rental! It is convenient to downtown, the French Quarter, the Superdome, and the Warehouse District. It is also convenient to the streetcar and the buses. The space itself is clean, comfortable and has all the amenities you would need on your visit. Plus, you can't beat the price. Emily is incredibly responsive and very friendly. She also welcomes you with a six pack of local brew! What more could you want? I would highly recommend this location and will likely stay here again when I head to New Orleans.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Emily and her flat. It's beautifully decorated, in a great location and really made our trip memorable. The street car comes right by her house which made transportation extremely convenient. We also rented bikes for a day which I would highly recommend, it's a great way to see a lot of the city. Emily was extremely prompt with communication and very welcoming. I would highly recommend her beautiful space.
Emily's apartment is as clean, modern and lovely as it looks in the pictures. It was a very comfortable place to spend the weekend, and she went out of her way to make it easy for us and to make us feel comfortable. The location is somewhat random, but still convenient to all that New Orleans has to offer. The building is at the corner of a large parking lot in the Tulane Medical Center area, and there are no other restaurants, shops, grocery stores, or normal amenities within the few blocks around the apartment. However, this was not a major deterrent--we were still able to walk safely to the French Quarter within about 15 minutes. There are not many cabs that go by in this area, so we did have to call for one each time and that can be annoyingly inefficient in this town. Again, it wasn't a deal breaker, but there were a few moments when I thought we should have rented a car. To summarize, the location isn't terrible at all--it's just not really in a neighborhood, and that can make normal transportation challenging. The place itself is truly charming and perfect, and I would happily return.
Emily's place in New Orleans' CBD was really clean, well-furnished, and stylish. If you are looking for a unique urban experience that is convenient to downtown NOLA and the French quarter, this is your spot. Emily was friendly and well-organized and we had a great time!
My stay at Emily's was awesome! She has a beautiful home and was super great to email with. Although we didn't meet in person she made sure to check in with me frequently and day of as a tropical storm warning was issued. We had a blast in the city and her home was so close to all the hot spots. We mostly walked around but a cab from Frenchmen street was only 10 dollars so it was also affordable to cab when my boots couldn't do anymore walking! :). Emily had the AC on and at a lovely temp when we arrived and a seasonal six pack in the fridge awaiting us.
Thanks again so much! Highly recommend staying at Emily's!
OMG, all thumbs up for Emily. Just an awesome and fun-driven personality and another very positive dog experience. Emily is an asset to any host and we recommend her and her dog highly.
Emily is a wonderful person- very caring, giving, and tidy; and her place is pretty incredible. (I'm still trying to get the keys next time she leaves town). She is very knowledgeable of the city and has a group of excellent friends who care about making this a strong and healthy place for y'all to visit.
And it certainly can't hurt to have a host who will also get you out of jail if you party a little too hard on Bourbon Street!
