I am a teacher that loves to travel. I love living in NY and when I'm not exploring NYC, I am exploring the rest of the world.
Coquille's apartment was beautifully decorated with very generous proportions in a lovely old building typical of New York. There isn't a huge amount to do in the apartment's immediate vicinity, but explore a little further out (transport links aren't bad at all) and there are lots of places to eat and drink - just ask Coquille, she was a great host and really friendly. We had one minor hiccup at our arrival due to a problem with airbnb's messaging system, and Coquille was very apologetic and quick to react. Overall I would highly recommend staying here as long as you don't mind traveling a short while to the buzzier Brooklyn districts.
We had a great stay at Coquilles apartment. It really made our stay.
Its a beautiful home with all you could ask for. It was a nice oases to come home to after an intense day in the city. Coquille was a great host that had prepared croissants and coffee for our arrival, perfect to enjoy our first morning after a long flight.
To get some great food take a walk up to Franklin av. (on the oppisite side of Eastern Parkway) to get some Mexican food at Chavelas. Or to Washington av. for Tom's diner or The Island for the best Caribbean food in the area.
Coquille was an awesome host! I actually was moving to Brooklyn this trip and her place provided my girlfriend and I a great homebase. It was my girlfriends first trip to NYC and she had a great time and we really enjoyed staying in Coquille's place. She was so helpful with local places to grab food and on other little details about the apartment. I'd highly recommend staying here. And a great experience for our first AirBnB rental.
Coquille's apartment was very comfy, spacious and charming. My sister and her husband really enjoyed it and had a great time in NYC.
Coquille waited for them in the apt (even they came several hours delayed) and explained everything they needed to know to hit the city! She also had fresh fruit, milk and bread for them, that is really nice! Location and neighborhood is great; they were very pleased to stay in Coquille's place...definitely a place to recommend!!
Our stay at Coquiiles apt was amazing. It's beyond comfy. She made us feel very much at home. She was very thorough, and provided us with everything we needed. We did some cooking and her kitchen had everything we needed. Beautiful lighting in the apt during the day and quiet at night. She was everything you would expect in a host and much more than that. She provided jams and croissants upon arrival…need I say more. I Would definitely recommend her to all. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thanks again.
We had a great time at Coquille's apartment. She was super nice with us and waited for us to arrive after a long drive in the snow. I would definitely recommend this place to any couple or single person!.
The apartment is located in a great neighborhood, a couple of blocks away from several subway statios. Also is surrounded by great food choices such as Gloria's and local deli stores.
The place itself is perfect for 2, way bigger that seems in the pictures and is decorated with tons of love and beautiful details.
The host was great, she was waiting us with croissants and coffee.
I would love to come back if i need to go to NYC again! Great experience!
Very nice appartment , very well-decorated, with huge rooms and more than everything needed inside. The subway is less than 10minutes walk, and you can reach Manhattan in no more than 30 minutes. The neighborhood is not awesome, but ok, and you can find some nice cafés a few blocks away.
Coquille was a marvelous host from the beginning to the end: she was flexible about out arrival and departure time, we could reach her anytime needed, and she gave us some good advice about restaurants or everyday life in the neighborhood.
A vert good expérience!
We had a great stay at Coquille’s. The apartment is way bigger than it seemed to be on the photos, the living room as well as the bed room is very spacious and the bed is super comfy. The bathroom was very clean and there is a fully equipped kitchen where you could find anything that you needed for breakfast, lunch or dinner (although it is hard in a city like NY not to eat out so we didn’t manage to have anything but breakfast there) and she welcomed us with croissants and milk (which was awesome after an almost 7 hours trip to get there). Coquille all in all is a fantastic host, she greeted us with a big smile, showed us around the apartment and was really understanding when we had to leave earlier than expected because our flight time was changed. Furthermore she provided us travel guides for NY and told us what we absolutely had to see in the three days that we were staying there. We really loved the neighbourhood since there was a lot of great (and inexpensive!) food and the whole atmosphere was really nice. The subway station was at most 5 minutes away as well as a grocery store. All in all, we can highly recommend Coquille and we wished that we could have stayed longer!
Coquille is very nice and kind. She asked about our preference even before our arrival. She greeted us with big smile and explain every details of the apartment and facilities. She's a star!
The apartment is very conveniently located with 4 Metro lines and just a short walk to any of them. A large supermarket is nearby.
The apartment itself is bigger than I expected. Very spacious living room and bed room with lots of plants and sunshine in the morning. The bed is very big and comfortable. You can see the sunset in the kitchen and it's equipped with every utensils you ever need for making a meal.
When those 5-star hotels talk about home away home, Coquille's apartment actually gives me this feeling. Settings and decorations in her apartment is very sensible and handy, making you fell very comfortable and relax.
I had been staying in a lot of apartments in different countries and Coquille's is definitely the 5-star apartment in my list! Don't hesitate, be her guest and enjoy this home away home.
Coquille's apartment is an absolutely fabulous place to stay. Full of light, well appointed, and spacious. Her hospitality is better than any hotel, and she provided everything we needed to relax, have a nice cup of coffee, and lounge around in between activities. The place is much bigger and even better looking than the pictures would suggest, the building is beautiful, and the neighborhood is extremely real and has great flavor. The only even minor complaint would be the distance from Manhattan, but we never had a problem getting around using the Metro and had so much fun exploring in Crown Heights and Prospect Park. Coquille also is extremely friendly, gave us great food and activity suggestions, and was in touch to answer questions or concerns promptly and thoroughly. Honestly we couldn't ask for more and will definitely try to stay with her again if given the opportunity. If you want to stay in Brooklyn, give Coquille a try!
Coquille is a charming, quiet and very pleasant personn, I enjoyed to have her at home and share good moments of laughter and discussions. I hope she will soon be back to Marrakech.
