Great week away in Tom's cottage which is in as described an 'idyllic' setting. Great walks right from the door and Katie was on hand to help if needed. We'll definitely be back!!!
We had a wonderful long Easter weekend and the cottage is indeed an idyllic highland escape. We were met at the cottage by Katie, who gave us a run through of the ropes and introduced her gorgeous 'frowning' spaniel puppy to us, much to our young Staffy and Beagles bewilderment. The location is perfect and we would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from it all for a while.
Great cottage, very cosy. Prompt response from Katie regarding our initial query over heating, very quickly resolved. Area is stunning, secluded and just perfect for anytime of year. Cottage easily fit our extended family and was so homely. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay at McLeod's cottage! It is peaceful, comfortable and very cozy. It had everything we needed and was clean and well cared for. Katie popped round to welcome us when we arrived and we appreciated the cookies and tea that were waiting for us! The estate and surrounding area is beautiful, a great spot for a relaxing vacation.
Thanks Tom, the place was awesome! My wife and I stayed there for about 12 days and the setting was indeed Idyllic. The house was charming and Katie who takes care of the place was brilliant! She made sure we were welcomed and comfortable but also gave us our space to explore. We truly felt like we were tucked away on our own private little retreat. The town of Tomintoul just down the road is so very charming and quaint. ( If you get a chance hit the Clock House for dinner do it ) I will certainly be staying here again if the opportunity arises
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Tomintoul. The house was warm and clean. It was private on a lovely estate. It was a few minutes drive into the little village of Tomintoul where we could get a meal. Our son loved the highland cows and feeding the ducks!
The cottage is in a beautiful and serene area of the Highlands minutes away from the small village of Tomintoul, and is ideally located to explore Cairngorn National Park and the Speyside whiskey trail. We enjoyed our stay. The cottage is spacious, and we appreciated the gesture of tea and cookies left by the host for us.
Our stay at the Delnabo Cottage was one of the best stays we have ever had in our life. Our host was incredibly kind, and even welcomed us the first day with cookies and tea. Tom was very responsive over email to any questions we had, and we were both incredibly satisfied with the experience.
The cottage was centrally located to a lot of different great locations, and the town of Tomintoul (albeit tiny) was packed with character and friendly people. There were plenty of great hikes nearby, and the scenery was absolutely beautiful.
Thank you to Katie and Tom for making our Scottish adventure unforgettable!
Staying at the cottage was truly idyllic. Great kitchen, living room, dining room and sleeping spaces. Place was clean. Surroundings were gorgeous. The hike up the hill a perfect for a view of the area. We would love to return. Tom and Katie were quick to respond, helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend.
I've known Tom since we went to University together (from 2002), and we have kept in touch ever since. Tom loves traveling, from backpacking expeditions in remote parts of the world, to lazing around in luxury beach resorts! He is courteous, friendly, always happy to help, and is a great host. I've stayed at his house in Tomintoul and it is a really beautiful area.
